Air Asia also flies from London (STN) to Kuala Lumpur. I am a frequent visitor of these countries. I recommend Air Asia. Simply book online. They operate a dedicated terminal called LCCT (low cost carrier terminal) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It has all kinds of facilities…food chains, hotels to other transportation options. The terminal itself is at far end of main airport. You can get into city in as low as $5. There are buses every 15 min, express rail link (ERL), taxis, etc. The only issue is its huge, so you have to walk. Air Asia is a budget airline operated by young and chic staff. You will see people from all over the world. old and young.
Traveling from KL to Singapore and Bangkok is very easy. Book a route like like KUL - SIN - HKT (Phuket) - BKK - KUL. I also included CGK (Jakarta) and HKG. It all cost me less than $400.
