Thailand and Singapore

Can any guppies plz’ recommend me a travel agent/ or any special deals e.g. going to Thailand from London and from Thailand to Singapore please in nov/ dec?

I’m still checking out various websites etc but i am bit worried about booking flights via websites. Anyone recommend me website/ services that they have personally used themselves?

Can anyone recommend me places to visit in Singapore as well please?

Thanks!

Re: Thailand and Singapore

Can't help you for London to Thailand trip but from Thailand to Singapore try these airlines:

airasia.com
tigerairways.com
bangkokair.com

they have the best deals for whithin Thailand and the surrounding countries, thier websites are reliable, i have personal experiince with these airlines.

But, don't expect too good of a service, after all these are all budget airlines, selling tickets for a few tens of dollars, also the journey between Thailand and Singapore is very short, you'll just get into the plan, sit down, and then start getting ready to get off. :)

Re: Thailand and Singapore

I am a frequent visitor to this part of the world.

There are plenty of budget airlines operating between countries of this region.Always try to book in advance.if u happen to approach these airlines at the terminals, they charge like anything.

In Singapore(Changi Airport)a terminal is dedicated to the budget airliners.Budget Terminal.................

If u are planning to visit Singapore,u can include Malaysia and Indonesia in to that.

You can take a ferry from Singapore and reach Indonesia (Batam )..cost is 50 sing$

Also Malaysia........................................ You can get flights and even buses to Kualalampur.(Double decker VOLVO).Pls make sure that u are travelling during day time ...........

In singa.... you can visit Sentoza island ,Sea world etc.You can take a cable car and taste the beauty of Singapore(Sentoza)....Malls....24*7 streets,Night clubs, bars ,Massaj centres,Retsaurants etc.One thing is you never feel insecurity in Singapore as law and order is always up to the greatest mark. Also u can visit chinese areas,Little India etc ......... You can go to malls like Mustaffa and also to places where u can bargain and get stuffs at cheap rate.

Pls do not buy garments from singa as the prics are always high.these products come from Thailand and malaysia and often sold there at high rates. You can buy garments from That as rates are lower.

You can take any food from any restaurant in Singapore and you need not worry abt any kind of infection as government has laid out strict policies in regards to restaurant and hotel foods.

Pls be aware that possession of drugs means death penalty!!!

Eve teasing is strictly prohibited and can award jail punishment. But Adam teasing is quite common!!!

There is an effective police system in place and police will reach to spot in three minutes time ,the moment a call is registered.

Pls be in mind that Singpore is a very tidy and beautiful place and anything that affects its tidiness will be immediately booked by the authorities.Chewing gum is strictly banned and also cigatettes brought in to Singapore are highly taxed. If u are purchasing things,pl make sure that u are keeping the bills and once u leave the country,u can submit the bills at the Airport and get ur money back which u paid as G.S.T. Pls carry ur passport with u all the time ,u go out.Although generally police wont question, its btter to carry ur passport....

Red light areas are also there.Pls be choosy...............

Re: Thailand and Singapore

Air Asia also flies from London (STN) to Kuala Lumpur. I am a frequent visitor of these countries. I recommend Air Asia. Simply book online. They operate a dedicated terminal called LCCT (low cost carrier terminal) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It has all kinds of facilities...food chains, hotels to other transportation options. The terminal itself is at far end of main airport. You can get into city in as low as $5. There are buses every 15 min, express rail link (ERL), taxis, etc. The only issue is its huge, so you have to walk. Air Asia is a budget airline operated by young and chic staff. You will see people from all over the world. old and young.

Traveling from KL to Singapore and Bangkok is very easy. Book a route like like KUL - SIN - HKT (Phuket) - BKK - KUL. I also included CGK (Jakarta) and HKG. It all cost me less than $400.

Re: Thailand and Singapore

Pls make sure that u are travelling in group during night times in Malaysia. It takes 1-1.30 hrs to reach the KL city lmits from the aiport.

Thailand, though comparatively safer compared to Thailand it is btter to take care of ur safety on ur own.

PS:-Pls keep the white card issued at Immigration counter in Singapore when u land, till u return it to the immigration counter while exiting the country.A loss of card means a grat deal of mess.

(Also Singapore has little corruption record. The country's performance rating is 9.2 which means Singapore is one of the leading** Non corrupted ** states in the world ). :)

Re: Thailand and Singapore

It takes an hour to reach KL city from airport. Bus services with counters in airport are secure and you will find plenty of women travelers. Malaysia is safe.

The white paper is embarkation/disembarkation card. You will fill in aircraft and present along with your passport at immigration counter. They will return one portion of it to you after stamping and take back once you leave. The system is same all over the world.

Re: Thailand and Singapore

^You are talking about usual disembarkation card.

This card you will get only at the airport ..........

Re: Thailand and Singapore

Pl take care of yourself in Malayasia and Indonesia…

Travel to Malaysia or Indonesia - Singapore Warnings - VirtualTourist.com

This is just for halping you to take enough precautions. Both Malaysia and Indonesia are corrupted and law and order may not be as good as you expect.( I have lived in Putrajaya and Bali for years, though Bali is safe and locals are very friendly helpful and honest).

Re: Thailand and Singapore

i have been to Singapore N Kuala Lumpur and, as Arleiter said, the best and most economical way to travel to and from these two great cities is by motorcoach, very comfy and stylish, takes 5 hours. i wud suggest u take plenty of snacks/fruits for the trip coz the stops they make is not a good place to eat for non natives. i thoroughly enjoyed my vus ride!

thanks for this! good read.
