Bal Thackery is a stigma on the face of Indian democracy , he is a radical hindu with no respect for other religions
Muslims in India have been focus of political and social targetting in the past as well and as long as ppl like Bal Thackery are there, India cannot claim to be a country with a democracy that respects all view points
MUMBAI: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray Sunday asked Indian Muslims, whom he referred to as “green chhupa rustams” (moles), to mend their ways or leave India.
Ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s top leadership meeting here, Thackeray has lent his weight against former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, according to IANS.
Speaking on the 38th anniversary of the Shiv Sena’s raising, Thackeray said Vajpayee’s moderate policies were responsible for the defeat of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the general election.
He had also made remarks against Muslims on Saturday in a front-page article in the Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamna and asked Muslims
Referring to the NDA’s defeat in the elections, Thackeray said: "The Muslims had united and caused the debacle.
“All Hindu voters have to unite for the assembly polls in Maharashtra due later this year,” he said.
“During the Lok Sabha polls, long queues of Muslim voters were seen at the booths. At the time of the assembly elections, the Hindus should do the same.”
Reacting to Tuesday’s shootout in Gujarat in which 19-year-old Mumbai college girl Ishrat Jahan was killed along with three suspected terrorists, Thackeray said: "Those Muslims who were not patriotic should leave the country.
“We will not have other people ruling over us. If they are not patriotic they can leave the country.”
“The dilution of Hindutva by the Vajpayee government was one of the reasons for the rout of the saffron alliance (in the polls),” he told reporters at his residence.
The Shiv Sena chief urged his party cadres to keep the Hindutva torch alive, utilising the occasion to do some Muslim bashing
