I don't see a reason why the seal should not be authentic....TopKapi museum has a great collection....takes almost a full day to just browse through the whole museum...I went there 3-4 years back....awesome place...and anyway Istanbul has its beauty and charms too....and the wonderful and oriental Sultanahmet in which Top Kapi is...
