Test Nations (Last Decade): A wake-up call for Pakistan

Following is the record of all test nations since Jan 01, 2000

Australia Played 120, Won 84-Lost 18, Draws 18, Win/Loss (W/L) Ratio: 4.66
South Africa 115, 57-33, Draws 25, W/L 1.72
England 135, 59-38, 38, W/L 1.55
India 107, 43-28, 36, W/L 1.53
Sri Lanka 96, 44-31, 21, W/L 1.41
Pakistan 86, 30-34, 22, W/L 0.88
New Zealand 83,** 24-3**4, 25, W/L 0.70
West Indies 111, 18-61, 32 W/L 0.29

I am sure Pak record would look even worse if we looked at just the past 5 years!

Overall Test record of all nations - Pakistan currently has the third best test record overall after Australia and England but it won’t stay that way for long if we keep showing lack of application and discipline in tests. Based on current evidence South Africa should take third place soon

Re: Test Nations (Last Decade): A wake-up call for Pakistan

Pakistan should give up Test status, or ICC should revoke it and demand an elected/'professional' person to head PCB otherwise PCB is going to be a gutter organization.

Re: Test Nations (Last Decade): A wake-up call for Pakistan

Wake up Pakistan and PCB

We maybe a good T20 team but we are failing in the real test of cricket i.e. test cricket

I still think that Pakistan's test bowling is better than (or atleast as good as) Australia's

The less said about our test batting the better. Patience, discipline and mental application (aka TEMPERAMENT) is the key which our test batters (apart from Salman Butt) are lacking right now. We were losing against Australia with Inzi, Yousuf and Younus in the team, so we might as well persist with promising youngsters (Azhar Ali and Umar Amin). Umar Akmal too needs to work on his temperament. Noone argues that he has immense talent but he is also someone who is prone to throwing his wicket away at crucial moments. Hopefully the youngsters will improve with time and proper coaching

Re: Test Nations (Last Decade): A wake-up call for Pakistan

South Africa, Australia, and West Indies still remain the places where we have never won a test series
