Is it a good idea to start a championship with retrospective date. ICC has announced that Test championship opens with Pak-Eng test match, but it will be based on retrosepctive results, consequently Australia will be presented a trophy this summer!

Anyway, Pakistan should be ‘proud’ to be above Zimbabwe and Bagladesh. Talk about being caught on candid camera.

This table and ranking given is ofcourse not a true represntation of the teams' standings. As the countries have not played equal number of series. Plus the ranking is based on series played and not on indiviadual test results. Also one off tests have not been included.
All this makes this ranking wanting. You can see the various rankings issued by different private organizations to get a better idea.

However as stated by the report this is a 'tentative' listing and the championship has only begun now.
