which movies are u talking about? if you're pointing at the bollywood ones, then u must've missed dil se. if you're talking about movies on the kashmir issue, well yeah positively all of those militants are muslim. then again it would be wrong to slot all of them as terrorists, since some believe they're genuine freedom fighters and may believe in peaceful ways to get their message across, while the others just dig bombing and getting bombed.

When The Prophet:saw: started preaching in Makkah, the Quresh became against him. They started calling him “Shaair”, “Majnoon”, “Magician” which Quran categorically denies.
They (Quresh) went to an extent that they started telling pilgrims not to listen to Muhammad (:saw: ) … In a way, Allah:swt: made the enemies a source of dawah. They started introducing Islam to non-mulsim themselves. Those non-muslims got curious about the whole thing and following the human nature, they visited Muhammad:saw: .. heard everything from his tongue and many of them actually came in to the fold of Islam. Islam came to them as stranger and changed their lives.
Prophet:saw: said that Islam began as something strange, and it will revert to being strange as it was in the beginning, so good tidings for the strangers
Islam is being introduced as a Terrorist religion - quite parallel to what Qureshies did by spreading lies - It is now our duty to change the definition. Ball is in our court. This is an oppertunity provided by Allah:swt: and it’s about time that we make some changes within ourselves. Indeed, Allah:swt: is the Best of the planners.

With such intensive media propaganda, the topic of terrorism/Islam/muslims is no doubt a hot topic among public. And movie people always use such things to make money, and also in some cases there would be deliberate efforts behind such movies to defame Islam.
Few weeks back, there was an explosion reported in a Tim Hortons in Toronto downtown. The early hour reports that i read, were quoting people saying something like they 'saw a man with explosives', and 'possible suicide bomb attempt' etc. And i was like, OMG it shouldn't be any muslim behind that and was thinking this could be any consipiracy against muslims in Canada as we have now conservative govt here. Anyway, the early reaction by people in that incident was what exactly 'nia' has mentioned.

I know what you mean.
Every newspaper we open, every website we visit, every news channel we switch on, everytime we see a group of whites, they're all bashing us and they never seem to get tired of it.
I'm sick of it, I feel uncomfortable openeing a a tabliod at college or work because I know there'll be something anti-Muslim in it and it will just make me all tense and uneasy.
I don't know why we're being demonised so much, I know we have our terrorists but they're no angels either, I don't condone what Muslim terrorists do but they do it in retaliation to the terrorism committed by western states and their foreign policies against Muslim lands which has been going on for a very long time way before el ke-eeda etc. came into play, if that were stopped terrorist organisations'll never be able to brainwash nobody and nobody would wan to recruit in their cults.
I'm sick of these people, I'd like to have called this country my home but I can't describe how alienated and disillsuioned I feel, just yesterday I was so happy and passionate for England winning but just today all that shattered as I was searching random bollocks on tinternet and I come acroos these two BB's on one they were discussing how ugly the black and halfcaste players make the footy team look and how they shouldn't be integration because we'll all start looking coffee colured and on another a Scottish woman was saying how Islam shouldn't be tolerated at all in this country because it's an evil religion and there is no such thing as "moderate Muslim" (na ghar ke na ghaat ke) because all Muslims are scummy bstrds".
I don't think anyone should move away from their homelands as it will give their kids a sense of being lost and not belonging, there's nothing worse than that, everyone needs to belong. I guess it would be worse for half caste people.
Racism's everywhere in this country and it's growing, some people just don't have enough selfrespect to notice it, Muslim bashing media, BNP and the so called lefties who have a secret conspiracy in creating a situation where support for BNP policies increases.

Faruk Bhai, whose population is more in England- Indians or Pakistanis.. I have heard that the Pakistanis are in very large number but there are lot of Indians too.. especially Hindoo and Sikh Punjabis and Gujaratis.. How are they(Indians) looked at? Are they also looked down upon? Are they mistaken for muslims/middle-easterners like here in USA?

It will change with time.. time is the best healer. Once Japanese were thought of as worst people(even many years after pearl harbor)..Germans, who were emigrated most to the US were also subjected to racism during WWII. It will go away.. some muslims are definitely a$$holes.. there is no doubt about it.. Just see Anwar qureshi mentiioned how ppl are good at spreading lies.*

agree, just like it is proper to drop the “world hates us because we are free” deal, as there are many other democracies which are in many ways more liberal than US too.
Oh yeah and as far as media bias, forget muslims for a minute. Look for minority roles in our movies and TV which do not reflect reality. Ever wonder why you see so many Indian and pakistani doctors at the hospital, but TV shows kinda show that its basically all white with a few token black docs thrown in?
