I think you FORGOT to listen to when Imran and Hamid Mir were astounded to learn that TTP chief is issuing statements right from the headquarters of Waziristan scouts/militia ...Now who will teach these kafirs a lesson if so ambiguous is the situation...?
I think instead of pretending to be fighting against terrorists we should issue call for a real fight.

In the US who responds to military matters regarding iraq? The DOD.
In the UK who respons to military matters in Afghistan? The MOD.
Who responds for ISAF operations in Afghanistan? NATO Commanders.
It is Standard Operating Procedures during a military conflict.
As for FATA and PATA. They are part of Pakistan and will follow the writ of the Government. Damn their stupidity desires for criminal activities. They will follow the laws of the land as per Islamic customs and traditions.

Why are you asking ISPR to do the explaination when Waziristan Scouts are directly under Ministry of Interior. Waziristan Scouts have nothing to do with the army, they are like a police force and as the area is directly controlled by Federal government therefore this force is also directly controlled by the Feds. I think in addition to this incident feds have to do a lot expalaintion on following incidents also:
1) There is not a single person who was prosecuted for December 27th incidents. Now the provincial Interior Minister is on record saying he was conspiring to break Pakistan after 27th December, selective destruction of life and property of non Sindhi residents in Sindh makes all what happened very suspicious. People who carried out this destruction were well orgainzed criminals who were on looting spree. Not even a single one is brought to justice is rather ununderstandable.
2) The recent incident of looting and setting ablaze the shops after bomb blast in Karachi by organized criminals in the presence of law enforcing agencies is something ununderstanable. People present and the local government of MQM is questioning now why the law enforcing agencies failed to act to stop these criminal gangs. Shia leaders who were with the procession claim that the bomb was a planted one! In fact the recent incident is just like 27th December incident. A planted bomb went off and within minutes criminal gangsters started looting the shops and started to set them ablaze. It is very evident that everything was pre planned!!!
Facts:
Sindh card is being played by patronizing dacoits and letting them act freely against innocent people. We have a criminal sitting as a president who is organizing criminals with the help of people like Rehman Malik and Zulfiqar Mirza to create a mafia like government!!! They are black mailing the nation to prolong their criminal tenure!!!!!!!

Mindstorm, the bomb blast. Was a suicide blast. That is verified and documented. The claims are nothing more than ****ing idiots mouthing off. Two police officers are shaheed because they attempted to stop the Suicide bomber.
I'm not sure how to interpret this. is the issue that the military lost the HQ to the Taliban or that they compromised with the Taliban and allowed them to use the HQ for the press conference? either way, a scary development I guess.
my bigger issue is with people like Hamid Mir and the kind of hypocrisy they practise. Afrasiab Khattak (what a fine man... is it me or does ANP have some of the most gentlemanly/sensible politicians in its ranks) said that there are foreign terrorists hiding in the North and that while we don't want to the fight/hurt the tribes in the area, it is imperative for the sake of long-term peace and Pakistan to wipe out the foreigners. Hamid Mir's took the point to Taliban/Imran Khan by saying something like the following... "Imran sahib Afsariyab Khattak says that we have to go after these dangerous people in the North..." and after a meaningful pause added "dangerous allegedly according to him".
I was furious when I saw that. what was the point of adding that phrase in the end which would lessen the impact of Afsaryab's statement and hurt his credibility?
now, I know that Hamid Mir likes his masaala.. he likes watching politicians fight. but one thing as a Pakistani I can't tolerate is the dithering, the deliberate attempt to confuse the current issue. Taliban and their allied fighters from abroad are enemies of the state. I don't care if they're certified momims or if they have 20 feet long beards or if they pray 50 times a day. they're fighting the state. they're attacking the state. they're barbaric criminals. they need to be wiped out. every last one of them needs to be hunted down like the dog that he is. so, don't tell me that the foreigners/Taliban in the North are not dangerous.
what the hell is the problem of people like Hamid Mir, Ansar abbasi, Qazi, Munawwar Hussain, Naimatullah, etc. these idiots live in our cities. they use the facilities the state provides - no matter how meager they are. and yet, they deliberately spread confusion on the Taliban issue by providing justifications and ifs and buts. they live in Pakistan. work on Pakistani channels. grew up on Pakistan's paisa. today it's Pakistani awaam that feeds them. and yet their heart deep down beats with the Taliban.

In other words you want to say, the federal govt is harbouring (in Waziristan) the worst criminal and enemy of the state whom the army is ostensibly fighting against and trying to track down and kill....wah wah wah....What a distortion of truth....
Contrary to your assertions of iFC being under the control of the federal govt, the fact of the matter is the entire FC has always been under the control of the army...Its current chief is Major General Tariq ...and all its units are bossed by Pakistan army officers...
One wonders where would these deceptions and blatant lies leads us to ... whether it is nuclear prolifiration or sending Jihadist to Kargal or accross line of control, we always have someone to make scapegoat of like an ostritch burrying our head in the sand and thinking that there is no one watching our "BACK".

Since we are looking at "news reports". First question, where is the HQ located. Which town in which part of Waziristan? Do we have any proof other than some supported news item that states it? Pictures, video etc? You know actual evidence?
