It is unfortunate that this land of great opportunities will be closed to deserving highly skilled professionals in the field of medicine, science, computer and engineering.
I am currently working in a community with a fairly high ratio of immigrants, around 20 years ago I used to come across a lot of new immigrant Pakistanis but now I will go several months before I see a new immigrant Pakistani whereas I would see around 70-80 newcomers Indians, they mostly come here on work visa and are awarded residency in 3 years. These guys are advancing really fast and are generally polite and courteous. They do have issues with keeping their words etc and bargaining a lot. I have not faced negativity from them. I was almost in tears yesterday as this young Punjabi boy touched my knee for respect and a few months back this kind physio therapist rubbed my foot as I was limping and on another occasion this young Pharmacist gave me some professional advice. Our loss is someones gain. Almost 80 percent of my classmates are here but it wont be that easy in future. @Doppleganger
You are wrong. Most of the Bengali came in 1970 under refugee program when Paki army unleashed hell on Bengali brahteran. I am living in Philadelphia for the last more than one decade, even in our area three or four Bengali families live. They have their own mosques and Islamic centers. It is also possible that many Bengali may have come under lottery program but not all. You write like an authority on subjects with dick knowledge about anything at all. Remember your lie that Karach has 1% quota of jobs in federal government. pata nahin kahan se yeh joothi khabren tum ne andar paal rakhi hain.
If they have not been able to control their own “ilk” from killing their own people with guns, what can one do about people they don’t know?
Ridiculously, they claim he had pledged allegiance to ISIS, really? If he had pledged allegiance to ISIS where was intelligence apparatus? To me, he was an insane, mental patient as Vegas shooter or Sutherland Springs shooter.
I live in a major city as well and rarely see bengalis in restaurants or masjids unless they are blending really well.
As for quota, go look up who is on all the posts in karachi and compare it to who actually is born in karachi. That 1% comment is from my own family relatives and friends who tried applying for jobs but came up against that wall.
If sindh is doing so well then why are you sitting in America?
Bit hypocritical aren’t we???
Sources of NYtimes: “The suspect in the New York subway blast had an explosive device strapped to him, a city official said. 4 injuries have now been reported.”
Its the second time they have caught the attacker so I’m sure they can grill him to find the accomplices.
As much scary this news is, but i’m glad that it didnt hurt that many right on the main hub of thousands of people passing through every single moment.
