No one could fail to notice the increasing heat in the UK media regarding the threats of terrorist attacks. Ten days ago it was leaked to the media {only to be rescinded and retracted} that there was a possibility of a nuclear attack, specifically a dirty bomb in the United Kingdom. This report from the Home Office, after retraction, was followed up by several lesser, but no less alarming, warnings of imminent attacks. The attacks could come at any time and any place {vague} and the government was at pains to notify the public that they must be constantly vigilant {what’s new}. Prime Minister Blair spent a large part of his keynote speech last week attacking the ‘terrorists’ who hail from a “significant part of the world that is, at present, deeply inimical to all we stand for and is so from a mixture of tradition, ignorance of our true motives and values and from a belief that we are governed by a one-sided view of what is just”
This week we have already had a media frenzy over three Al-Qaeda “suspects” being arrested who were alleged to be plotting attacks in the UK, and now reports of possible cyanide attacks on the London underground train system. The government has done little to quell concerns and in fact continues to feed the frenzy with further Parliamentary commentary on the agenda.
It would be easy to put this heightened attention down to the West’s overt war on Terror {Islam} and the need to build public support for the impending attack upon Iraq. Indeed Blair’s speech included reference to Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) as “linked dangers”. It is also significant that the media prominently reported that public opinion for an attack on Iraq rose by 10% points in the immediate aftermath of the Bali bombing. However, this is a long term war, and the Muslims in the UK, and globally, can expect a continuous attack against the core concepts of Islam and our very Islamic identity. Blair set out his agenda that he is working to achieve in the shade of the War on Terror. The agenda was encapsulated in four concluding solutions:
Reaching out to the Muslim world to solve the intractable problem of Palestine with the West’s proposed two State solution {legitimise the theft of Islamic lands}.
Nation re-building, specifically “failed” countries like Afghanistan {investment, exploitation and control opportunities}.
Create bridges of understanding between religious faiths. Dampen fanaticism and promote moderation {relegate the only true ideological solution in the world - Islam - to the impotent solutions of a religion like Christianity, and work hard to remove all ideological understanding from Muslims, not to mention the attack on the Aqeeda of Islam itself}.
Establish a wider agenda beyond terrorism and WMD under US leadership. Freedom, justice, tolerance of diversity, fairness, etc. {the same tired, failed and dishonest agenda}.
The capitalist leadership has failed intellectually to respond to the tenets of Islam which are now hailed globally. Alongside its unconscionable drive to dominate the worlds resources is a very dirty campaign to discredit Islam with its campaigns of terror and subversion. The spin, sadly, is only just beginning.
PS: why was this post removed last time? its not offence!
I think there is a bias going on, most of my post's are removed aswell.

Whatever else your post is, it is offensive. I don't know why you think you can say the West is evil for attacking the ideals of Islam, but posts like these that attack the values, history and morals of the West are not offensive. Respect and insults are two-way streets. I hate to tell you, bu you can not claim righteousness in your beliefs any more than can the arrogant kuffir who attack Islam.

Because the values, history and morals of the West are kufr and are polluting the minds of the Muslims from the truth to the falsehood!
Ideas such as:
FREEDOM
HUMAN RIGHTS
INTERNATIONAL LAW
ETC.

The same could be said (by more intelligent people) about your own ideas that pollute the minds - lack of freedom, lack of human rights, sharia law, intolerance, socialism, religous fundamentalism that breeds violence, etc.

What about my own Islamic Ideological ideas i am ready to discuss them any time any place anyone!
OK. Please tellme how would an islamic state establish trading practices with the rest of the world.
Foreign trade is the relationship of the state with other states, peoples and nations from a commercial angle. In other words, it is the management of the Ummah’s commercial affairs from a foreign angle. This policy should be based on specific fundamentals, and it should adhere to. The nations’ viewpoints about foreign trade vary according to the various viewpoints they hold about life, and each nation would therefore determine her relationships with foreign nations accordingly. A nation’s viewpoint about foreign trade would also vary according to her viewpoint about her own economic interests, aimed at achieving economic gain.
Some of these schools of thought are
Free trade
Protectionism
National Economy
The isolationist policy of self-sufficiency
All these emanate from a certain viewpoint in life.
However the Islamic state would have control centres at the frontiers, these centres are referred to by the jurists as Masalih. The khalifah should have these control centres (Masalih) on all the routes which give access to non-Muslim countries. People manning these centres would check all the traders. The centres would therefore directly control the imports and exports i.e. control all the traders, buyers and sellers alike. These control centres at the frontiers organise trade i.e. control directly thee movements of traders and the currencies being brought into the state or taken out via her frontiers.
This is a very detailed and complex area which will take posts after posts, so if you would like to discuss further we can do so over email.

No, I think lets discuss it in this forum. This is all so fascinating. I am sure you and Chaltahai (and maybe some other knowledgable people will also join in) will have a stimulating discussion on the topic. Although ofcourse its not related to the topic of "Terrorism". We should have a new thread for this interesting debate.

Email is no fun.

Thank you for your comment, but i'm answering a question which was posed by Chaltahai, and I don't like time wasting.
According to your post, it seems the answer is incomplete because you said "This is a very detailed and complex area which will take posts after posts, so if you would like to discuss further we can do so over email." I am suggesting doing it here instead of email so that other members can also benefit from it.
If you'd rather not do it on a public forum, for whatever reason, thats your choice. No one is forcing you.

I'm just saying that i'm not discussing for the sake of discussing or trying to win a point. discussions about Islam should take place in full sincerity and in an Islamic manner.
Chaltahai is not a muslim. If you are confident of the proposed system, you should be willing to discuss it with anyone in a decent manner (I agree, no swearing or cursing bcz that is against forum rules as well). If you consider such a discussion a waste-of-time, then its upto you.

Ok Faisal, How in your opinion should we trade with other countries once the khilafah is established?
I have no clue. I am not an economist and much less knowledgable about your proposed khilafa system. :)
You had said "i am ready to discuss them any time any place anyone!", so go ahead, enlighten us.

Look if you want to go read a book go ahead, but what exactly do you want to know?

Whatever you meant when u wrote "This is a very detailed and complex area which will take posts after posts". I believe you were referring to how an islamic state will carry out trade with other countries. Also, how will you deal with the issue of debt and issue of interest and banking.
I would have asked more, but I am afraid you might end up saying that "... then the jurists will see "
