Why are you all falling over yourselves to defend Hindu radicals? Or do you think it's okay for others to be radicals, but should it be someone who has a muslim name, it's a threat to world all of a sudden?
Why the double-standards? Condemn them all, or justify them all. Why the selective reasoning?
Why? Oh, 9/11, London, Madrid.
If the Hindus start exporting terror to other major cities of the world, I suspect that they will be roundly condemed too. Every country has it's percentage of whack-jobs. That is an internal matter. When the problem leads to bombings of western gatherings in Bali, embassies world wide, hotels and trains, it becomes different.
I will condemn Norwegian terror when it leaves Norway.
Re: Terror attack in Mumbai, Hotel Oberoi under siege
More dilly-dallying, and no direct response. It's okay. :)
The "alleged" hijackers of 9/11 weren't Pakistani. Just so you know, just in case you forgot to connect the dots there.
Anyways, i won't go there and derail the topic. The point is Hindu radicalism does exist, and just like you have your opinion, i'm of the opinion that it could very well have been done by BJP and their ultra-radical Hinduist supporters. Don't dim down the voices in India who question the Indian authorities, have the Just nerve to listen to all perspectives.
Ohio guy, there is no denial that there are problems within Paksitan. We do have extremists and we are dealing with them.
The responses here you see are the natural response to any threatening tone. Instead of asking for help from PAkistani government to deal with any probable link with these Indian terror attckes, from day 1 India started making demands and threatening Pakistan. Of course that attitude will not go well with ANY soveriegn country.
Why India is so reluctant to stepback for a while, and think that okay there is a possibility that some Pakistanis are involved, but why rule out the other factors outright? The Samjhota express incident is a classic example. Initialy it was PROVED that Pakistan was involved, but a thorough investigation produced different scenario.
What we are saying here is that do a PROPER investigation and include Pakistan in that investigation team. coz frankly we don't trust any investigation to achieve a set goal.
After the investigation, if it is proved that some Pakistanis WERE involved then let US handle them. Inida CAN'T dictate us what to do, they MUST share whatever they have with us, in order to eliminate this menace (both Muslim extremism in Pakistan & any other extremism in India).

Well, unlike other investigations, they caught one of the shooters, and apparently he is talking. Sort of helps move things along.
Right after 9/11 people hear chirped, "Where is the proof?" Of course nothing short of an autographed poster of OBL at the wheel of one of the planes would have consituted "proof". To non-Pakistanis the probable involvemtn of Pakistan is "highly-plausible". And, even though you are loathe to admit it, I would bet that there was a palpable sense of "Oh crap not again" through out every sensible household in Pakistan.

Not really. Every household was glad there were authorities in India who were honestly investigating something that led to the loss of life for a lot of innocent people. But the first target of this sad tragedy became even more tragic when the very man who had brought Indian Army Lt. Col. to justice was slain. So all the sane voices are skeptic about this whole incident. And almost all Pakistanis, anywhere in the world, expressed their sympathy with the affected families. But what does India do? Starts to blame Pakistan w/out any proof, right off the bat. How classic! Now even if the findings do come out that it was indeed an Indian group (regardless of religion), the damage to Pakistan thru media character assassination campaign has already been done. It's more of the "Cry Wolf" that India has been known for, for quite some time now.
To top it all off, the very man who was convicted of terrorism and possibly court marshal (if Army held to code) has been nominated for elections by BJP (Bharati Janta Party). Why would anyone in India want to reward a person who was found involved in terrorism? That too a major political party? C'mon now...

of course he is talking, but what percentage of truth is there! criminals talk all type of BS, it's upto investigators to separate TRUTH from LIES. as for the ID's and other cards are concrened. YOu know very well that within few thousand bucks THAT can be arranged for ANY COUNTRY, Pakistan & Inida are in lower price range.
What we are doing now is believing evrything he is telling, coz it feels good to our ears. why even give a 2nd thought coz now we are hearing what we want to hear. (this is the same mistake we made during 80s and early 90 coz we were dealing a bigger menace of time Russia, and look what we have on our hands now)
ADDENDUM:- if he is Pakistan, I say bring him back to Pakistan with full Inidan army escort, and ask him to guide back to his home town/village. lets see how much he really knows about Pakistan as he knows his way around Mumbai.
Well finally a Pakistani has found a “credible media” reporting in the south east asia … now i give you something to read from the same newspaper and the same reporter … would love to hear your views about the “Australian” link …
THE al-Qa’ida-linked Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists suspected over the Mumbai massacre were trained in Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, and were incited by speeches from their leader in Lahore.
As the sole surviving terrorist was interrogated in Mumbai, security sources told The Australian that 10 terrorists were picked by LET for the suicide mission.
They were ordered to “kill until your last breath” and murder up to 5000 people.
They did so after provocative speeches by Hafiz Mohammed Saeed last month in Lahore, capital of the Punjab.
Saeed, described as LET’s supreme religious and political head, declared in one speech: “The only language India understands is that of force, and that
is the language it must be talked to in.”
You can read the full article from the Australian media … not indian:snooty:

.
Just for your information ..... the first attack in 93 was done by Pakistanis .... since they "screwed" up they had to get profesionals from other countries .... for Pakistani link to 9/11 i can provide you a lot of info .... but we can discuss that in another thread if YOU want to ..........
If you really want to go on those lines, then read your own press about your own country. That may satisfy you. That was just published few days before Mumbai terrorist attack, and I believe the same colonel is been choosen by BJP for elections? All we are saying is its in the interest of India that they find the real culprits rather then start blaming straightaway on Pakistan without any evidence and you and me know that how our Police can make a person admit to everything by assaulting them in police stations. So please dont tell me the guy got arrested is saying he is pakistani and he is from this organisation and that organisation. I am against any kind of terrorism so take me as a friend not as an enemy.
Nashik , New Delhi November 15 The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) suspects that Lt Col Prasad Purohit supplied the RDX that was used in the Samjhauta Express blast on February 18, 2007 that killed 68 passengers.
The ATS suspects Purohit supplied the explosive to a person named ‘Bhagwan’ who is believed to be a link in the bomb blasts.
Seeking an extension of police custody of Purohit, Special Prosecutor for Maharashtra ATS Ajay Misar told a Nashik court that a witness in the Malegaon blast case told the agency that Purohit had claimed he had 60 kg of RDX in his possession which he had got from J&K.
Misar said: “When Purohit was stationed at the Deolali army camp, he had gone to Jammu and Kashmir on official work and is believed to have got 60 kg of RDX and a part of it was given to this link ‘Bhagwan’, who used it in the Samjhauta train blast. The ATS is probing his involvement.”
“Purohit handed over the RDX to Bhagwan who is suspected to be in hiding in the garb of a godman. So Bhagwan is a key link and we hope to learn about his whereabouts and antecedents in the three-day remand given,” Misar told The Indian Express.
The ATS also said that Purohit—along with Pragya Thakur and Dayanand Pandey—is suspected to have played a key role not only in the Malegaon blast of September 29 but in other blasts as well.
The witness, whose statement had been recorded, had said that Purohit showed him two small brown bags containing RDX, which he said he had recovered from J&K, Misar added.
However, Purohit in his statement to the ATS said that he had thrown the 60 kg of RDX into the Jhelum river instead of depositing it in the army depot.
The ATS is also probing the role of a Nashik-based builder who was paid Rs 2.5 lakh by Ajay Rahirkar at the behest of Purohit. The police have already said that funds amounting to lakhs were routed to Rahirkar through hawala channels. Rahirkar, in turn, transferred part of it to Pandey and Purohit’s accounts.
The Haryana police probing the Samjhauta blast (which happened in Panipat in Haryana) are now counting on finding new clues when they get to question Mahant Amritanand alias Dayanand Pandey on Sunday.
The Samjhauta probe trail had reached a dead-end in Indore, but the initial line of investigations was very SIMI-centric as several SIMI leaders including Safdar Nagori came from that area.
Madhya Pradesh police officials involved in the probe last year said that when a SIMI connection failed to emerge, suggestions were made to examine the possible involvement of Hindu right wing groups, but it was not taken up then. Haryana police confirmed the SIMI angle was ruled out after investigations.
A mix of high- and low-intensity explosives was used in the blast on the Indo-Pak friendship train which killed 68 — 42 of them Pakistanis. While a larger quantity of Potassium Chlorate and Sulphur were used to create the bomb, minor quantities of RDX were also found in the bomb, Dr. R K Koshal, ballistic expert from Haryana’s Forensic Science Laboratory confirmed. The use of RDX in ‘traces’ was also seen in explosives used in Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad in May 2007 and also in the Malegaon blast.
“There was RDX in traces in the suitcase bomb on the Samjhauta Express and that much was enough for the blast mechanism,” said Kaushal.
ADG Haryana V N Rai who is heading the Samjhauta blast probe, however, said that there is still no major breakthrough in the investigation.”We are closely monitoring the situation and are in touch with Mumbai ATS. Our probe status still stands at Indore”, Rai said.
The bombers had purchased the suitcases from Indore’s Kothari market. Investigations had found that the ‘Kodak’ brand suitcases used in the explosion on the train were purchased from the Abhinandan Bag Centre in Kothari Market while a tailor who sat opposite the bag centre stitched the suitcase covers. That apart, the pipe-bomb shells, Super Saurabh plastic boxes in which the IED was packed were also bought from the same area. Two of the accused in the Malegaon blasts are from Indore.
And after reading this wouldnt you like the real criminals to be caught regardless of their religion, cast, nationality. I hope so and that is best for all of us.
MUMBAI: "There were 24 of us who took one-year training in camps organised by Laskar-e-Taiba (LeT) at Mansera and Muzzarafabad in Punjab province of Pakistan. Ten of us were later handpicked for the Mumbai operation,'' said Ajmal Amir Kasab during interrogations.
According to sources, Kasab, 21, the only terrorist arrested by the Mumbai police, told his interrogators that Abdul Rahman, an ex-soldier popularly called Chacha, had given them training.
The sources said Kasab explained that the training was divided into seven phases. "He said the first phase was of ‘very hard physical training’ of three months which included running 10 to 15 km. The next three months were for marine training like swimming, surfing, diving and boating in high seas. The rest included arms and ammunition training,'' said a source.
After the training was over, they were sent to Mumbai for a "short internship'', Kasab is believed to have told the cops. This was the period when the accused did the reccee of the city and even went to the five star hotels (Taj and Oberoi), the sources said.
Sources said the Mumbai operation plot was planned in Karachi some six months ago. Joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria said,"We are closely working with the all the central agencies who have earlier handled such situations.''
In a fresh development in the investigations, the Mumbai police called up their Gujarat counterparts to enquire about whether the terrorists used Amar Narayan, the skipper of the fishing trawler used by them, as a mole. Narayan was detained by Pakistan for three months for illegally entering into the Pak waters.
Police are now taking the help of top technical experts to break into the details of the GPS system and the satellite phone which they recovered from a terrorist at the Taj hotel. This GPS helped them to navigate the sea route from Karachi to Mumbai via Porbander, cops said.
The police have launched a manhunt for the few locals who have given the terrorists logistic support in the operation.
