Why not carry ID? It was a suicide mission and they wanted everyone and their families to know what happened to them????
there could have been other ways for them to "tell" their families about their mission (e.g a taped video, suicide letter or DNA). I am not going to buy your reasoning that they carried the passports and IDs cos they wanted their families to know what happened to them.
anyway im waiting to see the scanned images of their IDs/passports, which im sure indian print media will publish very soon ;0
