In 2014-15 there were 6 terror attacks near western border. It's only India's failure that it couldn't manage to stop terrorists from crossing the border.

While they all had to rush together to the nearest trench as a post-effect, they treated the echoed loud voice of firaghat as the firing.. Thats ok, its still better than last time when their army chief last time went to the bathroom and people standing outside thought there was some explosion..

Another failure you are neglecting is the time taken for clearing the base, if we do go with official claims that the attackers were Pakistanis. Three days engaging the army of a different country without any local help is something, more so shines light on Indian competence.

I read it. Pakistan occupied Kashmir based militant body United Jihad council claimed responsiblity. UJC is a conglomerate of around 13 militant outfits including Lashkar-e-Toiba.

This terrorist group is recruiting would-be terrorists, running training camps in PoK, making terrorists who cross border and attack Indian defence bases. Again it's India's fault that these terrorist training camps are in PoK, right?

Almost all of the international border as well as LOC is fenced/mined. So these 5-6 Pakistanis managed to pass through the international borders, which have multiple layers of security, travel 50 kms, seem to be well aware of Indian Punjab (for someone who just entered India). This base has supposedly high walls and was already under high security, anyways these people manage to enter this base as well undetected and then three days later Indian army is clearing the base. level hay…

What I feel is that IOK based Jehadi groups have joined hands with Sikh organizations. BJP should figure out the reasons, but its easier to shift the blame.

Have I said anything wrong? Firstpost, rediff.com The Hindu, Dailymail.co.uk, bbc.co.uk says it a Pakistan administered Kashmir based militant outfit. Even wikipedia says it recruits fresh fighters from Azad Kashmir. And yes it is impossible to cross the border.

this clown Syed Salahuddin lives in Pakistan and regularly gives press conferences from Karachi and Lahore, is often on Pakistani TV channels. don't want to be blamed for terrorist attacks in India? dont harbor terrorists and their leaders.

UJC is a conglomerate which include Lashkar-e-Toiba. Reat about LeT, where it is based, where are it's training camps. More than enough literature is available.

Elected Indian hawks in the Govt come on live TV all the time spewing venom and threatening (hollow as they may be) to use all means including Rogue groups.

How about applying the same standards? Pakistani public does not elect mass murderers as their PM, and Dreamy hawks as ministers.

India needs to grow up, and look for sources within instead of finding scapegoats, much in the same way it and its' lobbyists preach to other nations.

calm down, teggy bhaiyya. are you saying Pakistan is not responsible for harboring this syed salahuddin guy? the guy is on the record for saying often over the years that india and pakistan making peace is bad news for his agenda.

the good news is that both indian and pakistani governments have shown restraint on this incident. pakistan even called them terrorists, which is a big deal. but this was before the UJC called it in. question now is, if they are able to stand by this. in any case, seems like a last ditch effort from a dying group whose supply chain has run dry.

No arguments on the restraint. Both Govts should continue the dialogue, and resolve to normalize relations despite what are obviously attempts to derail a process.
