The purpose of this e-mail is to let you know about the establishment of a
new graduate not-for-profit university called the Malaysia University of
Science and Technology, dedicated to premier engineering education and
research. The goal of this university is to provide qualified Malaysians
with the opportunity to obtain advanced degrees in engineering fields such
as materials science and engineering, biotechnology and chemical
processing, construction management, transport and logistics, engineering
systems management, information technology, and energy/environment.

With the assistance of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, M.U.S.T.
became a reality in January of 2002. M.U.S.T. is designed and structured
as a small, unique research-based graduate school focusing on scientific
and technological areas of importance to Malaysia’s socio- and economic
development.

M.U.S.T. is currently seeking tenure-track faculty in several disciplines.
