Tension among Mumbai's Muslims

guys, slightly old news but quite a interesting. if india shows bhaichara between diffrent religion, no body in the world can shake us. if pakistanis think they will use some elements like SIMI and harm india, they are grossly mistaken. Rather they are digging pit for themselves.

Re: Tension among Mumbai’s Muslims

*But all the clerics praised the city’s Hindu majority for showing “great restraint”. *
*"Not a single incident has taken place when a Muslim cab driver or tea seller has been assaulted by Hindus, when they could have easily done that. **“So amidst all this fear and apprehensions we need to admit, that sanity prevailed,” says another cleric, Maulana Hafeza. *

:k: I am really encouraged by the restraint shown by Muslims after the Malegaon blasts and now by Hindus in Mumbai. As long as Indians don’t allow hatemongers to divide us, India will stay united.

Re: Tension among Mumbai's Muslims

There is a still tension among Indian muslims. One consequence has been closing of the famous Coronation restaurant on Grant Rd, arguable Mumbai's best mutton place. Another fav of mine Karachi Multani Hindu restaurant (owned by a muslim) just west of Wadia hospital in Parel was also closed prolly due to this tension. A sad loss that too. Where are all the muslim restaurants (hotels in desi parlance) which served fabulous mutton and no frills. Majority community in India should be careful not to lose all muslim restaurant only to be replaced by ubiqitous udipi ones.
