Tenet resigns as CIA director

Rumsfeld should resign next now :>

Alright!!! I see another book coming out on Bush!!!

rubs his hands with excitement

:dixsi:

When you have those in the administration leaking names of agents to the press (which is treason) as well as a administration who politicalizes and perverts intelligence for their own agenda this action is pass due.

UTD, at the end of the day Tenet still worked for Bush. I wonder who agenda he was perverting :konfused:

Unless it was Tenet who leaked the name! Wouldn't that be something to have the CIA director leaking names of agents? Bush retained a lawyer today regarding that investigation. Odd.

This still looks like he is taking a bullet for the team. He also looks tired, and has served through two wars and 9/11, bound to be a demanding time. Frankly everyone on capital hill knows that Tenet is a straight shooter, but that the agency had been emasculated by a lack of funding.

^^ lack of funding?? how much more do they need to gobble up to be wrong all the time?

Well, to be fair to them, they are probably not wrong **ALL
* the time. Only may be about, 95% of the time...? And that too only on the real big BIG issues.

Rest of the time, they would probably be on target, for example, when they leak the identity of their covert agents.

George who?

:konfused:

So far they from what I have read and heard, the speculation is that he may have resigned for reasons like a) no WMD's in Iraq b) Pak and India going nuclear c) Rise of OBL. Not much mention of his involvement in leakeding the name of the CIA operative. Question is, can you hold him responsible for these lapses as the Director of CIA ?

if he was attempting to be 'honorable' he should have resigned right after 9/11 for the biggest intelligence 'failure' .. now means just a patsy for dubya..

Who's next?

The next round of government restructuring doesn't come until November :)

PA, do you really think the admin. can afford to lose someone with a killer resume like Powell?
