India’s master batsman Sachin Tendulkar is to continue his comeback after shoulder surgery in next week’s high-profile charity match against Pakistan at The Oval.
Surrey today confirmed Tendulkar will play in the Twenty20 match between the tourists and a World XI next Monday, starting at 5.30pm.
The match will raise funds for the President’s Earthquake Relief Fund.
Rahul Dravid and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fresh from India’s Test series victory in the West Indies, will join Tendulkar along with other superstars of world cricket such as Brian Lara and Muttiah Muralitharan.
Pakistan are to make the whole of their squad available for the fixture, even though it is scheduled to take place less than three days before the start of their four-match Test series against England at Lord’s on July 13.
The World XI line-up is: R Dravid (captain), MS Dhoni (wkt), S Tendulkar, M Muralitharan, B Lara, C Cairns, M Ntini, A Hall, S Styris, Azhar Mahmood, Mohammad Akram, Saqlain Mushtaq.

Can this get any better? First Ganguly, now followed by Tendulkar. 
Next thing we will know, Sir Agarkar will be featured in the pace-bowling squad consisting of bowlers from around the world.
