Re: tendency to bear pain

Yes K337
Ppl have different level of tolerance to pain.
I have surprised my Doctors many time.
Nothing I am proud of. It could lead to more serious conditions. If my kids are like me I would be very worried.

Re: tendency to bear pain

People do have different pain threshold.

I have seen macho looking men crying like a baby with simple needle stick.

Those who take pain meds which have narcotics or addicted to drugs like heroin have very low threshold.

Some types of headache (Cluster headache) are associated with teary eyes or runny nose.

Unbearable headache needs attention.

Cannot just have excuse oh I am just too sensitive.

If all things are found normal then its OK to say that.

Re: tendency to bear pain

Different people have different response to pain. Lifestyle and experience can make one immune to pain or reduce it to the point where it doesn't hurt as much.

If you're a construction worker and deal with heavy equipment all day, a normal person would be sore, but because a construction worker has been doing it over and over, he/she just simply learns to cope with it. Our bodies have the ability to adopt to new environments most of the time. But the main response and trigger system doesn't change. If you're hurt you will still feel pain, your reaction maybe different than how someone else would react to it.
