Have any of you ordered any clothes from Tena Durrani? If so, please do share your experience and reviews of the clothes.
The pictures on her facebook page look great however I want to get some real feedback before I place any orders. Also, if anyone has gotten clothes made were they on time and handled professionally as well as the was the quality/look the same as what we see in the facebook pics?
Her designs are gorgeous! They don't look as fabulous in person as they do in pics, most designer clothes rarely do, but they are still quite good. She uses quality materials and kaam, and the prices reflect that. Where are you located? In Toronto, Shabis (Yonge/Elgin Mills) stocks the label so you can check out the clothes in person. I really like them and they get new design in often.
I would say the same - in person I was a bit disappointed at how light the clothes were compared to how beautiful they look in pics. Combined with the prices, I didn't feel satisfied about paying those prices for relatively simple joras - if you can afford them you might think otherwise :)
I ordered her ‘Black Mughal Net’ from the Marquis collection online via facebook (she didn’t have a website back then) for a family wedding. Customised with a bit of the work knocked off and sleeves added to the slip, she brought the original PKR 50,000 price tag down to fit my budget of PKR 35,000.
I agree that the dresses look more heavily embellished in the photos than they appear in person, but to her credit, the work is neat and the material is great quality. Also, with the measurements I gave her, she managed to get the dress to fit better than anything my tailor had ever made. Plus it was delivered timely, so overall, I’m quite satisfied with my experience and I’ve kept an eye out for her collections ever since.
