People who don’t fast and openly smoke, drink and eat in front of you.
people waking up for sehri and going back to sleep without praying fajr,
People thinking that Ramadhan is only for the duration of your fast i.e as soon as it’s time for iftaar, they can do all the stuff they’ve refrained from doing throughout the day
The amount of food that is wasted or goes down the bin
The huge number of text messages wishing you Ramadhan Mubarak and the Eid messages
During taraweeh prayers you get distracted by millions of phone calls or the racket outside
Imams reciting the Quran at Terrawih as if its a grand prix race
People arguing about the differences in iftar times in different time tables
Non-Muslims asking silly questions and feeling sorry for you
People burping next to you in salah because they had too much spicy food
I dont think non-muslims ask any silly questions. They are just curious, and we should answer any of their questions without being annoyed. Whats so annoying about someone being inquisitive about your faith? This is your best chance to clear our any misconceptions that non-muslims have about islam.
At the university i went to the MSA holds a fast-a-thon once every week during ramadhan. The idea is to get as many non-muslims avoid food, drink, swearing, fighting, cussing, and any other bad habits from sunrise to sunset. There is free breakfast and dinner provided. For every non-muslim that signs up, sponsors donate like $5 or $10 to local charities. I think this is a great idea to spread awareness and raise funds.

I'm assuming you mean Muslims who do so...worse are the ones who joke about it, "I'm eating thissss and thatttt"...
people waking up for sehri and going back to sleep without praying fajr,
Annoying for who? You or them? If you're praying fajar, then what's your problem?
People thinking that Ramadhan is only for the duration of your fast i.e as soon as it's time for iftaar, they can do all the stuff they've refrained from doing throughout the day
Then they don't have the true sense of what Ramadan is...and you should pray that they get aqal, rather than look down on them.
The huge number of text messages wishing you Ramadhan Mubarak and the Eid messages
So? Do you get charged for all the SMSs?
Non-Muslims asking silly questions and feeling sorry for you
Why shouldn't they ask you questions? And if you feel they are feeling sorry for you, then politely correct them..that you dont need pity..

are there actually ppl who do sehri and go back to sleep not praying fajr.... i've never heard of that before.
I thought I'd add on more thing to that list... on Eid, paki ladies go to the mosque dressed up as if its a fashion show!!!!! lal lipstick, colourful clothes, a tonne of perfume, bear heads and arms, etc, etc it ticks me off so bad... and this only happens at the curry mosques, none of the arabs face such a problem (no matter how bad they normally dress, they all know to wear a khimr when coming to a masjid). Also, all these aunties come there just to chit chat and dont bother listening to the khutbah post Eid Namaz! if they want to talk, DONT COME TO THE MOSQUE.
^well maybe that is so in canada, but where we go to pray (here is sydney, australia), arabs dress very modestly (islamically) when then come to pray in the mosque... i'm talking from what i've seen in the places we go to pray, i havn't been to every mosque in sydney though :)

1) people worrying about everything but their own ramadan, their own fasting, prayers and all.
they barge into your house and hold you down and lecture you! I’m sorry you’re forced to listen to such stuff…i hope you can recover frmo these traumatic experiences and learn to move on
The most annoying thing to me is people take their children to masajid, leave them in back of the masjid and join the first row themselves hence they enjoy the benefits while leave people in backside to suffer noise of un-attended children, I really wish I could b!tchslap such parents.

Lol yep very true. While i commend their effort to bring their children along, i think these people should keep these children with them so they could learn something too.
As a child myself i remember going to jumma with my dad till i was 7 or 8. After that we moved to an area close to the masjid so it was me on my own. And yes as a child you cant help but create mischief in the back rows :D And then there was cricket nights in the masjid garden in ramadhan during taraveehs.

lol...very true...
I think some parents mistake the masjid for a playgroud!
