Temptations are something that we face on a daily basis, irrespective of our location or gender. We all have had instances where we stood strong, and at other times, faltered some.
Before we give into the temptation, we have that split-second where we can decide to opt in or out of the situation. I wanted to ask you all: How do you choose the right path, at that split second? Do you recite a Quranic Verse, remind yourself that Allah is watching, etc?
I would like to hear your practical thoughts as we all can become better Muslims as we ward off the haram practices in our lives.

the answer is that it is not that split second where that decision is made, although it might look like it. That split second only shows who you really are, how you live and what you are all about.
as Sidhu says "character isn't made in a crisis, but it IS shown in one" -)
Not all temptations are bad. For example good food music with a nice soothing cocktailis wonderful for the soul without harming anyone and that's a good sort of temptation.
On the other hand the temptations that harm or manipulate (even if it is a sermon in the mosque but exorting jihad) is pretty bad.
Who hasn't felt tempted by the beauty of some great woman or thE taste of that plate of something? Education abt std and choleteral are good antodotes for such temptations!
