Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

So how long do you think it takes for someone to tell their parents they met someone and go through the whole introductions, etc?

About how many months/years after dating and NOT being introduced to his parents do you figure he isn’t serious about getting serious?

not my area of expertise.

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

I dads met him many times.. He just doesnt know hes my bf. LOL ...
However my mums met him, I introduced him to her 4 months after we started going out. And same with his mum.

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

Once you are sure that he is indeed your BOYFRIEND then go ahead and introduce him to your mom and dad ...

Once he gets the same feeling from you, he will introduce you to his.

PCG has finally met someone.

Phew.

:hehe: @ shak

Well there is no fixed time, some ppl click and feel that he/she is the right person and they go and introduce their SO to their parents and in other cases due to issues or circumstances it gets delayed, u cant gauge someones intentions by the time they take to introduce u to their parents :k:

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

Who knows, Shak. Who knows. General question, though.

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

i guess it depends on time and where you are in life and how much you're in to the other person

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

get pregnant.

they'll get the message.

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

I think let him first introduce you to his when he has done that you can introduce him to yours. It's just an idea I have never been in such situation and I believe it depends more upon the level of trust that has been developed amongst you both. But all my friends who did love marriage were introduced by their respective boyfriends (now husbands) first then they introduced their boyfriends to their parents.

Re: Telling Your Parents You Met Someone

I use my sister. Saves me from getting harassed with all these questions, who is she, what does her family do etc.
