I think I sounded like a real retard when I first brought up the issue with one of my parents (just the way I started and worded it was too embarassing when I think about it). With the other parent, I used Islamic material to back up my claim. I also spoke to a sheikh that I trust as well. I spoke to all these individuals at different intervals and the message I got was I should finish school first and marry a guy who is financially able to support me and is good overall as well. Alhamdulillah, it was amongst the best advice I ever received. :k:
Overall, I’m pretty bold. I’d say stuff that comes to my mind. This isn’t always the best, but I usually don’t sugar coat things, which I should or rather should talk more tactfully.
