diastolic and Basal body Temperature..both r same?

Re: tell me

My best attempt in explaining in easy words:

Heart works in the following way. First blood has to fill in the chambers and then it has to contract to make the blood go out of the heart and reach to the body.

That being said, when your heart is actually filling up with blood, that phase is called Diastolic. Think of this way, you have a balloon - you are filling it up with water, that filling up is called diastolic. Also a measurement, which we measure during your blood pressure. The lower number reading is the diastolic.

Systolic:
As I mentioned above, heart fills up and right after it contracts. The contraction phase of the heart is called Systole in which blood is driven out of the heart and to the body. Take the same balloon which was filled up with water [diastoli] once you pressthe balloon the water will ooze out, right? heart works in a similar way. After filling up of the chambers of the heart, its muscles contracts and blood is then pushed out of the heart. Its also measured in the blood pressure, the highest reading is called systoli.

Basal Body temperature and Diastoli are two different things. You can read more about BBT over here:

hope this helps. =)
