Teleportation

I know that scientists over the last couple of months were able to teleport 1 atom from one place to another successfully. i wounder how long it will be before they teleport bigger objects.

what do you guys think of teleportation?

Re: Teleportation

well, I say INS ought to pay for this. Imagine how much money they'll save

Re: Teleportation

 I had a dream! I was able to teleport my favorite dish through a teleporting machine. It was a weird dream, I was almost convinced to turn it into a real thing.

As for an atom being teleported, that’s an extremely tiny body to depend on. We can’t base our predictions entirely on the theory that explains what could also be a natural act. I mean, couldn’t this be a natural occurance, which scientists caught in action?

Do you get what I am trying to say?

Re: Teleportation

I dont know the Name of that Insect… BUT… that has the Capability…

I read abt the experiment on it..

WHen He Sense that… his Mate is Around… Tou.. He can Just… Vanish from there and.. the Next moment U will find it Close to His .. HER

Even they Put it in GLASS BOTTLE… (Coz.. they thaought may be.. Its not Disintegration.. its.. The Speed) and.. Put His HER in Next Glass Bottle Next to it…

And… After some time… He was not in his Bottle… and He was there with His HER

/\ I read it long time ago in some Science Magazine… Jiss ka mujhay naam bhi naheeN yad… So… Cant say anyting if wat I mentions above is AUTHENTIC or not…

Re: Teleportation

^^^ dont sound too authentic to me :) IF it was true it wouldve been the subject of the most research across the world :)

Re: Teleportation

The atom teleportation is purely of academic interest, rather than practical applicability.

Atomic teleportation is possible because of quantum mechanics. However, quantum mechanics do not apply when dealing with any object of substantial size.

Re: Teleportation

^ exactly my pointttt....!!!

Re: Teleportation

teleportation is a destructive process anyway.

Re: Teleportation

Doom, Doom II, Doom 3 ... and the scientists still haven't learnt.

Somebody please stop these guys before it is too late!

:D :D :D

Re: Teleportation

^ say wha??? :konfused:

Re: Teleportation

Destructive and constructive!

Re: Teleportation

^ yeah but from the transported objects point of view its only destructive :D

Re: Teleportation

mmmmmmmmmm ....hopefuly one day :)

Re: Teleportation

Okay! However I wanna look at it.

Re: Teleportation

teleportation is (again) a relative concept. Think of it this way, if our current supersonic jets were to be used in 1000 BC to move one object from place A to place B, that same jet would by the people of that age be perceived as a teleportation device. For us however, it's just a supersonic jet and not a teleportation device. Similarly,if we can construct a teleportation device now, later generations might just see it as a transport device...
