Just wondering how many here have option to work from home? Despite it’s usefulness, I have noticed that many employers are hesitant to embrace it (personal experience). If an employee can fully complete the same work from home without any interruptions, shouldn’t they be allowed to work from home?
I personally find that when I work from home, I am more focused, my work is completed quicker and I finish up later than when I am supposed to so I can get as much done as possible.
yes its always easier to work from home, but for the employer to be able to create such a flexibility might be an expensive thing to do , hence why many do not allow it .
While working in an office environment, we may tend to take for granted many factors like communication, learning , team building, team bonding etc etc , when we work from home , these factors get largely ignored hence impacting the greater skill base that a company wants its employees to have ..

It's about corporate culture. The physical ability to do so is different than a company's desire to permit it.
I can work from Home, but the corporate culture is very clear - staff is expected to be on-site, unless there is a good reason not to.
Face time is often given more value than actual productivity levels.
I actually find it useless. It is good sometimes..but i like being in the scene and connecting with my colleagues ya know. I have tried couple of times..and boy i become bit unproductive and cannot focus much. But that is me. I like going to my office..
^ its true actually. After a while , working from home can become extremely boring and ultimately lead to nonproductive role.
What can be useful , however , can be the option to work from home once in a while, for example, when the weather is playing games and those coming from far off places can enjoy this option. Those who have meetings midday can utilize this option every once in a while .
In my jobs in which I had the VPN option , I loved them every bit. It was more like working from home at your convenience but only for a short while. Coz eventually you start losing out on the bigger picture, not knowing what is happening is colleagues and other company wide clientele ..
