Unde Jinnah there ironically was Shariah in Swat, not that I am a proponent of it. But I find it somewhat disconcerting that IK has developed a tendency to put down "liberals"/"liberal class" in some of his recent interviews.

I respect some of IK's views and theres no denying that he is talking the truth but the more he speaks the less I think of him now. Still if there was an election in pakistan tomorrow and I was present I think Tehreek Insaf is there only party I could vote for without feeling any shame or remorse. The party has not been corrupted by power yet, whilst all the others have. I honestly dont know how anyone can vote for PPP/PML-N/PML-Q/MQM/ANP/JUI/JI and sleep at night. Granted that in some areas theres some very good people who may stand from each of these parties - for example the PML-Q guy who got elected from my area was a good chap and did a lot of work for the local area compared to the PML-N guy who was in power before but still 995 of these parties are corrupt and inefficient.
What annoys me about Imran is his so called wanna-be anti-establishment and anti-elite views. When will people like him actually wake up and realise they both the elite ad the establishment?
It annoys me such a bright educated chap supports the Draconian Shariah system which the Taliban represents. Sufi Mohammed, Fazullah and there men have committed a lot of murder within Swat. IK might as well support the MQM. This Shariah system which is place in Swat is not Shariah but just a distortion of it. Why do popular figures like IK legitimise this respressive anti-women, anti-non-sunni, anti-progression brand of Shariah?
IK argues that the reason why the FATA belt is up-in-arms and we have suicide bombing in pakistan is because its a "reaction". I find that offensive. Tribal people are humans and have human emotions and the vast majority dont react in that inhumane way.
I can understand IK being anti-Mush, anti-MQM but by siding with PML-N,JI,Taliban ......he has just taken a step sideways. He has just sided with different devils, but with the same dirty faces.
But because he is new I would take the gamble and vote for him. I hope he realises who is he and that he can never be one of the common people. He is far too rich for that. Once upon a time anti-state-establishment figures were lefties, now they are right wing too.
Some people consider Imran an ISI agent .....they all are LOL
