Alrite Iam Not Sure If Iam Posting In The Right ‘Room’ But Anyways Here I Go..
My Son Is 4 Mnths and 5 Days old And Already Started Teething, Hes Really Fussy and is Always Crying And doesnt want to be near anyone else but me,
its really hard and frustrating because i cant really do anything ive tried ne of thse teething toys but they didnt help.
so if anyone knows anyway to help the child… plz let me know
thank you:)
Try to put the teething toy in the refrigerator for a while and then wrap it in a clean soft cloth before handing it to your baby... hopefully it will sooth him up.
Are you perfectly sure that its actually teething pain? I ask because its kind of early and it may be something like reflux or colic? And it were teething, baby would calm down with a teething toy or rubbing the gums.
Theres an english homeopathic remedy for babies....i cant recall the name of it offhand but its readily available - i'll post back as soon as i remember the name but it calms babies when they suffer from teething OR tummy pain. It was doctor thomas so something like that...
Bouncy seats, esp the ones that vibrate and/or have blinky lights are a big help too.
Hope your little one gets happier soon!!
Thankz Alot.. Yea The Bouncy seat is very helpful.... but other then that hes still fussy however i did find a teether he likes s hes a bit calmer now... :)
My son also just turned 4 months and recently started showing the same symptoms for teething. Orajel should only be used in extreme cases. Best thing to do is to take a cold wet cloth and have the kid bite on it. The cold part should help numb the pain and is very soothing for the kids. Some folks also use store bought teethers and put them in the fridge to make them cold. Another thing you can do is to massage his gums with your finger gently.
Last but not least walking around with the baby or rocking the baby gently also gets their mind off of the pain in gums.
Like everyone elsesaid, try using a gel teether by placing it in freezer before hand. The also sell Gum massaging brushes at like Target or something, that looks like a toothbrush but is soft rubber...just massage babies gum a bit with that, that helps. I think Mamaof2 might be referring to Gripe Water? Its good to gave baby a spoon ful of that, its for gas anyways and tastes great.

I used homeopathic remedy called Ashton & Parsons and I believe it is from England. Or there are plenty other homeopathic remedies available like Nelsons and New Era. I have not used those but I can say Ashtons provided relief and perfectly safe...except if baby has lactose intolerance. It has chamomile which is also soothing for baby tummy probs. One thing though its a powder form and is to be used by putting the powder on baby's tongue...not to be rubbed on the gums. Most parents make that mistake.
Does he drool a lot? Cos then its teething for sure.
Also I am not sure where you live. I think its a homeopathic thing, not sure, but they sell this thing in paki, at least pindi at Dr. Watsons or other stores...but its called "Magic Ring". Basically its like a band/necklace that baby wears, and somehow that lessens their teething symptoms. I am not one to believe in stuff like that, BUT it did help my son as he wore it his firt 6-7 months, and he had no diarrhea, and he was hardly cranky with pains from gums etc. It might be worth a try, plus he doesn't take anything internally.
