Teeth Whitening

How much does teeth whitening usually cost at the dentist’s or whatever… and is there a difference between whitening and bleaching… if so, what?

Another thing, has anyone tried Crest Whitening Strips? Does that stuff actually work? I’m thinking of buying it, but its a lil spensive… dont wanna spend that much money if it isn’t gonna work…

Hey Riya …but anyway the teeth whitening stuff depends on what you wanna do.The dentists offer the instant..zoom whitenening one which runs abt 500 and the other is abt 199…which takes several sessions…and the crest whitening ..my cousin tried it and it worked for him..he did that for abt 2 weeks…his teeth r really white as I asked him..

…he is a typical 8 yr old:D..I remember my older one talking to a model once and asked out right in front of everyone..“Dont you brush your teeth…Your mouth is stinky?”…Omg…it was so funny and so honest at the same time embarrassing…I kept on apologizing:cb:

I used Crest Whitestrips and it worked. The one thing to note is that it can make your teeth sensitive during the time you use them (it did to me, anyway). A few days after you complete the course your teeth feel back to normal.

I definately recommend this product :k:

Crest whitestrips make your teeth ultra white and you notice a difference in a few days.
It gives you a weird feeling when they are on :O
And I say you brush your teeth first and then put them on to make the use extra effective

i used those before my wedding , did only half hte course (since i just got lazy/ept forgetting) and damn they worked, my teeth looked so white in the pics!( before hte retouching

I know a foolproof, tested, tried, cheap, and safe all at once method for pearly whites. You just have to try it to believe it. I am pretty sure you wil end up joining the Baking-Soda-just-rockkkks-Maaayyn club !!

Try brushing your teeth with Bicarbonate of Soda aka Baking soda twice or three times a week. Be careful not to use Baking Powder, because it is not pure sodium bicarbonate, it has tartaric acid mixed in it which you might not wanna expose your teeth to. Baking soda is perfectly safe to use directly on the teeth, however, if you are too skeptical to use it directly (..which you should not be), add some in your tooth paste (the stains might take a little longer to come off this way). It can also be mixed with water to make a paste like consistency, but it has to be dissolved very well. A good sign that bicarbonate has been completely dissolved in water is that the solution will turn clear.
If you still have safety concerns regarding the use of baking soda in your mouth, look it up and you will find very satisfying evidences [when in doubt, google it out:P ]. Some people (including me) just swear by the miraculous teeth whitening power of baking soda, but as i said you have to first try it to join the club, you dont have to take* my* word for it.
Oh almost forgot ..... When you use baking soda, do **Not **swallow it and rinse your mouth well after you are done.
Another surefire method to get your teeth sparkling white and squeaky clean is to rub the inside of an orange peel on your teeth. It also has ton of Vitamin C, which our gums just adore and cant live without.
