Anyone use any? If so, what brand did you use and how long before you saw results?
I am interested in trying them out. I have never before tried any kind. I heard all the talk about Crest Whitening strips and started to read around. From what ive read and come across, the generic brands (CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid) are all just as good as the leading brands and cost half as much as Crest.
I think im going to go for the walgreens brand but there are 2 different kind of products. One is available in whitening ‘strips’ and the other is whitening ‘wraps’. This is where I am left confused. Any advice?
I used Crest before my wedding and they really worked. I can't remember which kind but I think you were supposed to wear a pair in the morning and another in the evening for 30mins each time, for either one week or two. In reading around before I bought them, most people suggested that this would be way to harsh on the gums and cause teeth to become sensitive. So I used them just every night or every other night - same results but just takes longer. Worked really well and no sensitivity. I didn't finish all the strips, so I did occasional touch ups in the following months and just one pair would do a good job.
I used Crest ones before my wedding and even though I didn't finish the complete course, I noticed a remarkable difference. It's worth a try I think.
Oh and I didn't experience gum sensitivity either.
Crest whitening strips are brilliant.. I've used them and felt a little sensitivity afterwards (I used the stronger ones) but it wasn't too bad and defo worth the end result :) I got mine from Ebay..

yeah the crest cost about ~$50 a box for i believe a 2 week or maybe even 1 week supply (as they are 'stronger' and work faster apparently). but anywho, i came across a study that showed a group of people who were given crest strips (and not told the brand they were given) and a group was given a drugstore brand (ofcourse, not told it was a store brand) and the store brand ones reported for more whiter teeth and better results overall compared to the crest group!
i came across several people comparing the 2 and saying the store brand ones are just as good as the crest or oral-b or whatever there is.
so most of you did not use the 'dissolving' ones, im assuming? there are just so many now days that im left confused! for me, more choices = more confusion!
