Trust me I take good care of my teeth. I brush twice a day at least and use a good mouthwash and floss regularly.
Then why do all my teeth hurt when I drink something cold or hot? Should i see my dentist? That happened soon after I had my last appointment 6 months ago but he said that the tenderness and sensitivity should subside in a few weeks. It did but it’s backkkkk.
You may have cavities, could be due to teeth grinding in your sleep... or it could even be your brushing technique.
A while back, My dentist suggested using an electric toothbrush as it prevents you from brushing your teeth too hard and wearing away the enamel surface which then causes the gums to recede and expose more of the tooth, thus causing sensitivity. There is real no cure for this though, but better to try to prevent it now from deteriorating further.
Ok, well firstly, you should visit your dentist to find out whether the grinding is causing any damage to the enamel of your teeth. Also, it's important to tell them about any other dental or facial symptoms you may have, especially waking with an aching jaw, or if you have noticed a clicking jaw joint.....
The causes.... well they vary... but stress plays a part in most cases. Also, there is a small liklihood that there is a problem with the top and bottom teeth coming together (occlusal discrepancy). If the grinding has been happening for some time now, then the teeth may even be ground down so far that they all fit together very well....... what is your 'bite' like? top teeth slightly forward over bottom teeth, or top directly over bottom?
As for treatment, there are 2:
your dentist may provide you with a mouth guard to wear during sleep. This will prevent the top and bottom teeth locking together.
Also, it has been proven that there is a correlation between teeth grinding and stress, so reducing stress will help stop the problem. Maybe try de-stressing therapies, muscle relaxants ...... or a weekend away from TLK bhai would maybe do the trick :p
I'm neither, just very well read...... if i got a qualification for each subject i studied during my pregancies, then i would have many degrees, and a Dr qualification for sure :)
Yeah, then i think a mouth guard would be best... unattractive to wear, but it does do the trick... best to sort it out ASAP cos it can lead to other difficulties.... also use a toothpaste designed for sensitivity :)
I was a tooth grinder for a while too. It turned out that my wisdom teeth were pushing the rest of my teeth forward. Once they grew in I stopped grinding. Meantime the rubber mouth guard worked pretty well.
Another thing you could try is a toothpaste for sensitive teeth, one brand is called Sensodyne. It really helps sensitivity to hot/cold.
When your enemal run away from your teeth means when you ghis too much yout teeth your enemal passed away from you and your teeth become sensitive. There is no cure to sensitve teeth. So it will remain happily ever after.
The only daily and opposite of permanant treatment is using sensodyne once a day is a daily treatment for temporary.
Don't ask me I'm dentist or a doctor. I don't want to lie. lol
Visit your dentist it shdn't be this way ! This happens to many people , one of my friend also had this problem but she had it bcuz she was into smoking.
Niksik you have sensitive teeth,
Best thing is to you use sensodyne toothpaste, however what to do is take a bit of teh paste and massage it into the area between your teeth and gums, as well as using it as your toothpaste.
As well as this you can ask your Dr. to apply a special fluoride paste onto you teeth

This should hopefully help with the sensitivity
