Doha: The beloved of an expatriate teenager deserted him and remains untraced after the boy ended up in a police lock-up, caught stealing food for her.
The 15-year-old left his parents sometime ago after they refused to let him marry his girl friend who was a year older than him, saying he was too young to wed and would do better to concentrate on his studies.
The boy felt upset and deserted his parents. They tried to find him in vain. One fine day, they got a call from the police saying that their son was in the lock-up for stealing food from a supermarket.
**The parents rushed to the police station and their son told him that he was stealing food for his girl friend whom he had already married and that she had deserted him after having come to know that he was caught by the police for stealing, and missing.
