technology manager, $90K+ range

I wa sjust made aware of a position through a friend for the role of a technology manager, the person will be working with a number of project managers and will have a dotted line repoting to the VP of technology and IS.

The position is based in Atlanta. They are looking for someone with a few years of enterprise systems experience in a big 5, the hiring manager is a former PWC guy.

I dont know much more details but will be getting some. Not sure about sponsorship either.

Title: Technical Manager

Classification: Exempt

Department: Software Development

Reporting to: Director, Program Management

Summary: Under Administrative Direction. Plans and directs application design, development, and systems analysis for all computer applications programming.

Duties:
·Plans, assigns, directs, and participates in the activities of technical personnel involved in the design, development, and systems analysis functions required to create new computer applications programs.
·Reviews and analyzes existing applications programs and programs in development to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of those programs.
·Approves requests for program changes.
·Oversees and co-authors the design layout for application development.
·Troubleshoots hardware and software failures to determine causes for system failure and to implement solutions.
·Provides technical information and advice regarding network interconnections and overall data processing master plans.
·Reviews performance of applications to ensure efficiency, proper documentation, and that output meets the needs of customers.
·Provides technical leadership in client facing situations partnered with a project manager or product manager.
·Lead estimate-creation for technical components of projects

Knowledge/Skills:
·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
·Minimum 8 years experience designing and developing complex computer applications programs dealing with web delivery channels.
·Minimum of 4 years of experience working with C++ and CORBA.
·Minimum of 2 years of experience working with JAVA
·Excellent verbal communications skills.
·Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
·Cold Fusion development experience/knowledge is an added benefit.

minimum bhi toh likha hai qibla.

otherwise its kinda simple to figure out that those are the key areas they are interested in but are also looking for a certain total number of years of experience.

kher anyways, if anyone knows someone who is looking for an opportunity and fits the bill let me know. I have forwarded 2 guys to them and they have started the interview process.
