Technology and your child

Re: Technology and your child

I'm so stealing this (with proper credit). Don't be suing me :)

Re: Technology and your child

You can steal without credit too. I don’t know any good lawyers :hehe:!

Re: Technology and your child

My sister told me about this family, both parents are docs , their 3 kids, 2 sons and 1 daughter all are docs. OK, first son didn’t want to study medicine but they forced him to go in medicine. He completed A levels in 5 years which normally people finish in 2 years. They pushed him to must study science and be a doctor. Finally, he has become a doctor ,God knows after how many years. When i heard this story , I told my sister ayyh no you better let your child study what they like to. No point of forcing them or to make some thing must for them that they don’t have interest in.
If kids are interested in some field since their childhood, I bet you they 'll find no difficulty afterwards. And same goes for your girls, they seem interested, do send them in IT.

Yes Tofi baba, technology is developing day by day and everyone better keep themselves updated with it rather coming here and asking Tofi for some help. :snooty:

Re: Technology and your child

Lippy, I have no problems with whatever they want to be. A few days ago my choti wanted to be a cashier because she thought she would have easier access to money and could buy her mommy lots of things :D!!

Re: Technology and your child

^ Next week, she 'll say I want to become a game developer. :hehe: These interests keep on changing with time.

Re: Technology and your child

That will be cool tho!!!

Re: Technology and your child

Oh btw, I wanted to share this app I came across: HomeWork

Downloaded this for my older kido. She’s been using a planner from school for her assignments, etc. for a while and I got her to manage a planner for other Islamic School activities and sport activities, etc. This looks like a good alternative for her paper planner as she can set reminders, get a complete visual picture of where’s she is at, what is urgent and what is important, and u can even plan and define your own lessons. Let’s see how well she adapts to it.

Re: Technology and your child

Good for kids to keep everything well organized. Total advance stuff, no time for it. I have opened a page on fb , I leave my reminders, notes etc there. Also, we have an other page on fb where we all students at course share our views and leave deadline dates, share notes etc.I found that quite helpful and interactive among mates.

Re: Technology and your child

I know Java. Will that work even though I dont primarily program in it?

Re: Technology and your child

My kid isn't allowed on FB yet. Will wait for another few years for that. But great idea Lippy!
