technical question

below are 4 copies of the same image. and they are animated (blinking eyes). the question is, why do they all blink at the same time? i understand that they are all the same, but even if posted in different messages, they will blink concurrently. Why dont we see them blinking at different instants? one after the other? (with due respect to confused)

coz its the same gif. the blinkign will happen at the same time as thats the way it was created, (or the blinking added)

i understand that..and im not confused about their identical behavior. But what about their moments of action? i mean, say they blink at two second intervals. So its like 1,2,blink,3,4,blink,5,6,blink. Why dont we have one image blinking on this pattern, and another blinking on a different pattern, say 1,blink,2,3,blink,4,5 blink. U know what im saying?

cos there is only one image of this ghora on the server and all links on the server are retrieving that one.

I think reason is techinically speaking, all images are using same clock source and in GIF coding, they have same time interval defined. therefore they all blink at the same time.

if frame rate , along with time interval for each frame is same, then u will see all images doing each step at same time, else u can see the images edited by asn they are behaving slightly diffrent..

no..actually, as sky explained, it is because all the images are being retrieved from the same source. I just copied the file to 2 different sources, and now in my post above, the 3 images are retrieved from 3 sources, though their frame rate is the same. but they are not concurrent

anyway, its a .. hmmm.. IF i remember correctly, 6frame gif ..

first frame has a FULL ghora,
second frame has ONLY eyes, just like 10% down,
third: 25% down lets say..
fourth, fifth, blah,
6th, its all the way down..

THEN comes the backfire!.. 7th frame is ACTUALLY fifth frame again ..
8th is fourth frame again ..

let me c in a BIT numbered form:

full ghora
eyes a bit down
even more down
half way down
three-quarter down
full down,
= #5
= #4
= #3
= #2

there is NO 11th frame, as the frame #1 (OR 11) is programmed to be at a STOP state for like 301milliseconds..

(once we get into looping and all that, the reply is self-eXplainatory)..
