techies come here

:salam:

guys what is** ‘Viewfinder Color Support’**?
Also, if a camcorder doesn’t come with photo editing software and a remote control, can they be bought separately?

As always much appreciated.

Re: techies come here

Remote depends on camera model. Sometimes it can be bought as an accessory.

'Viewfinder Color Support': means it has a viewfinder with full colours and not a monochrome one like it used to be.

Re: techies come here

thanks giz, but the spec' of the camcorder i'm going to buy reads as follows. Viewfinder Color Support: Black & white?

Re: techies come here

its means the viewfinder is available in Black and white only ...

Re: techies come here

Re: techies come here

OK! There are 2 types of Viewfinder on most new camcorders.

1- LCD Monitor
2- Electronic Viewfinder (EVF)

The EVF is also a very small LCD screen but you have to look at it through an eye piece. Nowadays, LCD monitors have reduced the utility of the EVF. However, using EVF instead of LCD Monitor can give a little more time on the batteries. So even if Viewfinder is B&W, your LCD monitor screen would be coloured. So no need to worry on that.

Photoediting software is only necessary if your camcorder allows taking of still photography. Most of the camcorders do. Plenty of photoediting softwares are available in the market. Many sharewares can be downloaded right off the web as well.

Are you getting any Video Editing software with your camera? That is the more important one.

Re: techies come here

^ no video editing software either doc. Apart from that, it's a grand deal.
