Teased: Caterham previews new concept at Monza

Caterham has come a long way from making Lotus replicas. Sure, it still makes the classic Seven in all its many iterations, but these days the small British outfit runs its own Formula One team, offers the SP/300.R track car, and is partnering with Renault on the development of an entirely new sports car. But that’s not the end of it.

The firm has got a “new ultra-high performance model” in the works, and it will unveil it - in concept form, at least - during the Singapore Grand Prix later this month. Caterham isn’t saying much about the concept, save for that it incorporates “significant input” from the company’s other divisions, including its engineering consultancy, composites laboratory and racing team.

We’ll have to wait until September 20-22 to find out more, but in the meantime Caterham is running this teaser image on the side of the F1 cars that Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde are driving in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza this weekend.Continue reading Caterham previews new concept at Monza
