Last night coming home the local desi station played “Chithi aai hay watan se chithi aai hai, bohat dino kay bad bewatnoo ko…”. I was wiping the tears through out. I find it rather interesting that even though I spent only the first 10 years of my life in Pakistan I have a longing for that country, still, after 28 years.
This song and the one from jagjit/Chitra…kia hai woh “chand nikla hoga…?” are the worst for me to hear. Don’t know when but we plan to go to Pakistan and take the kids to show where I was born and to let them see their heritage.
