Tears

What are they and why do they arrive when we’re feeling miserable? I.e. what is the reason for them being produced? if its ‘cleaning’ well thats pointless as a person who never cries wouldn’t get them hence their purpose for him would be useless.

Explain

Re: Tears

I totally explained this in another thread you started earlier on "Why do women cry?"

Look it up :p

Shak you're totally awesome. I will not contradict you again. I humbly apologise.

Re: Tears

Wikipedia :Tears are the liquid product of a process of crying to clean and lubricate the eyes. The word lacrimation (from L. Lacrima meaning Tear) (also spelled lachrymation) may also be used in a medical or literary sense to refer to crying. Strong emotions, such as sorrow or elation, may lead to crying. The process of yawning may also result in lacrimation.

Found it!

As clever as I am I can’t seem to spot anything to take the mick out of this

Re: Tears

^ Ahh you found it! :smokin:

So there are different types of tears…the reflex kind which we cry when we want to ‘cleanse’ the eye and the ones associated with emotions.

Re: Tears

So we cry..when we want to cleanse out eyes? So for people who don’t cry then that means we don’t want to clean our eyes? :teary1:

A cry smiley, how ironic!
