Listen, I am all for commercialism and multinational corporations. But did anyone find it extremely distasteful to not have the name “pakistan” in our team jersey. Are we team pepsi or team pakistan. India had a big “sahara” banner in their jersey but they also had “india” written there too. We must be the only team ever to go out there and play with jerseys that doesn’t even represent our country. If someone totally oblivious to cricket tuned in on saturday, they couldn’t tell whether we were team pakistan or team uzbekistan or team pepsi. I don’t have any problem with the “pepsi” banner in our shirts but for gods sake, don’t kick out “pakistan” to make room for a freakin carbonated cola.

good post and an important point..they should have pakistan on the jersey..i mean they are representing pakistan…and all of us..and they dont even have our beloved country’s name…thats not good at ALLL!!

it used to be there like a long long ago...but thats like WC99...no more
ya! I also noticed a lot of teams have their sponsors logo over their heart and the country/board logo on the other side. However Australia and west indies are exceptions.
