Lately I was developing a sort of a liking for the indian cricket team but they have disappointed me by saying that they will take “Twenty 20 game with Australia as practice”
What gives!
These are are fking World Cup holders and they are so fking scared of losing that they are calling it a practice???
This goes to show that India will never be the number 1 team in any department. They are just weasles.
I don’t want to see a practice game.
Do they know 90,000 tickets are sold at the MCG. This is a slap in the face of those spectators. They are lining up to see a fking practice!
This is called "lowering the expectations", of course.
Doesn't make sense, though. Indian team did so well in tests, against Australia. T20 is a format, which is so brief, that a few overs can clinch the game for you, so arguably this format has the best chance of beating any superior team. Being World Cup holders, Indians should start as favorites to win this game, but even other wise, both teams start as even. Indian team should be pumped up to win the game, rather than downgrading its importance anticipating a defeat.
To fungus: When was the last time you heard a team planning to use a game "against Australia" as practice....we have become brazen my friend...not weasles. Thank you Sreesanth for showing us the way.

From Cricinfo : Was he expecting a hostile reception from a crowd that's expected to be close to 90,000? "If they are not on the field it does not really matter," he said. "We don't care whether we receive a hostile reception or not. In Eden Gardens there are 100,000 spectators, in Kochi there are 80,000 spectators. Still, this is a huge ground and playing in front of such numbers would be exciting."

I wasnt a fan of Dhoni, but I now seem to believe that he will make a very good captain. I would not expect a reply like that from Dravid, tendu or ganguly.
^oh i see, did they lose against NZL in the 20/20 cup or was it before, it could be that i read them being unbeaten thro the 20/20 cup, but most probably dreaming i guess
As much as I enjoy following 20/20 (and I will watch the game tonight), I have to say that in this format any team can beat any team on a given day.
So I take India's good run in 20/20 so far with a pinch of salt.
Even Zimbabwe beat Australia, remember. In fact I was surprised that BD did not get too far in the Twenty20 WC....
