it is just my personal observation, that most of the people that i know who watches pakistan tv channels *seriously are either team ary or team geo. if they like ary they are going to hate geo, and vise-versa.
i wonder why this is? those people arent even associated with either of these channels in anyways but they are still holding their loyalties for them. For example back in the days when nadia khan show, and good morning pakistan was on, if anyone likes nadia khan they automatically hated shaista, and if they like shaista, they hated nadia. why is that so? why didnt ppl like both of them at the same time. i see sort of same trend with news show, it is either hamid mir or shahid masood.
i dont see this kind of behavior with other channels such as hum, tv1, aaj etc.
do you guys know why people who have nothing to do with either of these channels authorities, have so much hate for the other channel?
yanzala it is called brand loyalty :p....just like many pakistanis think that to prove your love for pakistan, you are supposed to show your hatred towards india ....that is one of the ways to show loyalty towards their favorite channel
i never used to follow ary dramas...but for the first time i followed three dramas from ary and none from geo...so i basically follow the channel which offers good programs to watch....i am neither team geo nor team ary

i don't think i was team anything until recent when i converted to team ary.
i don't know for how long but i guess for around 7 years geo was the only channel we had here. and they always sound like the world revolve around them. they never discussed other channels' drama or show on their channel. they never even mentioned other channels' name on their channel. it's always the "other private channel" (which remind me in how back in ptv's days u weren't allowed to say india's name on tv, you would call india "parosi mulk"). Ary doesn't seems like they care. they openly discuss other channels and their shows on their channel. they even invited hum sab umeed say hain ki team in gmp.
i was also impressed by the way the officials of ary talked on their 10 anniversary show on gmp. now all of you can say that it was scripted and all that, but even if it was scripted, atleast they tried to give a good impression of themselves.
i like ary's dramas a lot more. geo is so full of crappy never ending mass like tere pehlo main, kahay ko biyahi bides, masi or malika, tanveer fatma BA. yes dolly ki ayegi barat was great, but everyone manages to do that once in a while.
so i am definitly team ARY. i just had geo for sooooooooo freakin long that when i got more channels earlier this year i realize how much of GEO is their brainwashing about them being so great through their newspaper and hosts praising them selves and their channel on about 20% of which in true. other channels don't do that as much, their quality speaks for themselves.
.......i know i am going to get that tana again....or being a psycopathic obssesive viewer or what ever that fancy word was. :p

Plus all the news anchors rotate so much it is kind of funny Also their love for India is quite evident on how much coverage they give to Indian Entertainment. I wish they would spend that much time when it is Humayun Saeed’s or Faisal Qureshi or Nadia Jamil or a Shoaib Mansoor birthday as they do when it is an Amitabh birthday. rolling me eyes
