Teachers

Re: Teachers

Who said I was a mother of two children? If I had the time to push out two children I wouldnt have the time to be here.

Im sure mothers are lovely.

Re: Teachers

i always respected my teacher that is why my class mates in pakistan used to call me "chamach".

whereas here in canada, even the most racist teacher who apparently never was my teacher often call my sister to ask about me that how am i doing...or saying hi-bye to her, thinking its me. lol...cuz i always smile at her.

my profs also like me cuz i share my awful ideas with em. even if they shout at me i dont say a word, and they end up apologizing afterwards, which i of course happily accept.

sometimes my friends get soo jealous of why my profs-teachers are only talking to me or asking me suggestions.

Thought u meant these were *your *kids :cb: babblu aged 5, pinky aged 6.

I was writing about my students. The children I teach! Was that not obvious from the rest of the paragraph?

aww thats great... I'm loving the fact that no one has spoken bad about their teachers so far... I wonder whether that would change if we invited our irish/brit students to post here... lol

This is for all the teachers (including you Milly):

“O Allaah! Do not let me reach a time during which scholars are not followed, and honorable people are not respected”

Oh ok! ; )

It's Miss Milly to you thanks.

Now when should we begin comprehension 101?

Do you not think that this is mainly directed to scholars/teachers of religion?

Re: Teachers

yeah secular teachers deserve no respect.

lol. one day you will become a great saas.

Re: Teachers

I used to be a teacher, and let me tell you, there is no respect. Some kids are good and they'll follow the rules. Others will not. I am not sure if this is any different in Pakistan. A number of my aunts are teachers, and they said they had similar problems. I was a newbie so it was hard for me to control the kids since I only taught that one year, but people who have more experience can control the kids better. But in general, maasti-khors exist in Pakistan too.

Miss Milly???? I don't like formalities, was that not obvious from the rest of this thread?

hands out a comprehension classes registeration form

Jokes apart Milly, If you're done with stating your opinion on this thread, you may move on. Otherwise, plz continue to write more posts related to the topic. Cheers

Now this has made me laugh. Thanks.

:) :) :) :)

No. Honorable people are not just scholars of religon.

What about this one...a knowledgeable person?

“Three types of people would not be mocked except by a hypocrite, an old Muslim man, a knowledgeable person and a just leader”

There's other hadiths that quite clearly state the value of teachers in islam but I'm too lazy to look them up right now.

Re: Teachers

P.s You only OWN a thread if you have peed all around it.

I didn't say this nor do I believe it, I hope you don't either.

But hadith always has context and I would guess that this the ones Huma is mostly related to teachers of religion.

Because really, should I be expected to respect my atheist religion hating PhD supervisor on ALL levels in the same way that I would respect my religious teacher? I should hope not.

:omg:

but u must have been very young?? that might have been a reason?? A good-looking young imported miss ; )

Yes, even an atheist teacher deserves a lot of respect, now respect doesn't mean that you have to agree with his belief.

I guess teachers too have a criteria to fulfil.

It depends what kind of knowledge is being imparted, I'm quite sure.
