Is it just me or teabags actually lose their oomph after a few days ![]()
They just dont taste the same , even though they may be kept in airtight jars …
Has anyone here felt the same? if yes , how to ensure they remain fresh for longer? ![]()

Re: Teabags …
Hmm well you can try using loose tea with a tea-ball sieve like this
http://www.appletreebulkherbs.ca/resources/P1060717.JPG.opt423x412o0,0s423x412.JPG
or a teapot with built-in sieve like this for brewing
I use the tea-ball on left in the first pic and like the result.
Ofcourse you can just use the traditional teapot as well, the above are just for added convenience

Re: Teabags ...
**i never experienced any such degradation in the quality of teabags over a period of time. i keep them in an airtight container and AWAY from the stove. a few tips that i can give you is that:
-store teabags in airtight GLASS containers
-do NOT buy family packs [216 or 144 bags], buy 36 or 72 bag packs. and open them when needed
-do NOT store for them for more than a month
-always look for EXPIRY dates...especially if they are imported from India/Pakistan**
-always buy QUALITY brand name teas

ah so that's what it's called. I'd like to try it if I come across it sometime. And isn't it nice, the control you have over the strength of your tea... for a person like me for whom one teabag is too less and 2 teabags, too strong.
lol, inspiron.
