So I'm a big fan of Chai, always been. And want strong tea specially in the morning. I used to have Tetley teabags but recently they are taken off-market for some reason.
I've tried Lipton and others but they are very light. Need stronger.
Any recommendations? What tea do you use?
Some of the teavanna blackteas are strong and less coffee-like. But obviously not helpful for chai (with milk).
In what sense its not helpful? Like too strong?
No.. Like having base note flavors i.e peachy, peppermint et cetera et cetera. Let me look for a plain black tea teavanna alternative. I’ll follow up on this.
Tapal Danedar! I find it to be stronger than Tetley and definitely a chai-lover's favourite. You can easily find teabags and loose tea in a local desi store :)
Use loose tea leaves, Red Label is pretty strong. My sister is a big tea fanatic and she uses Tetley too. I have to ask her if she has switched if your info is correct :p

I like Earl Grey, you can use two tea bags, I do that in the mornings.

So my mom got tapal danedar teabags from desi store. Its okish. Like something but still not that strong I used to have.
There is another one someone was praising, "Vitality". I think its coming from either india or pak.
Talking about them, my indian friends suggested a tea named "wagh bakry". I got from desi store and yikes, its a masala chai. Really bad. :(
We have tetley in our indian / pakistani store. I am surprised that they don't have it in new york.
I have started using Lipton bold black from Meijer.
