Also try washing em in a dish washer if you have one.

Re: tea stains..

Re: tea stains..

thanks all....i have already used baking soda nd tried washing them in the dishwasher a couple of times too.....but no luck....!!!....i'll have to see what is this BON Ami thing ....hope it'll work...

Re: tea stains..

fill up the cup with water and add a few drops of vinegar.. works like a charm

Re: tea stains..

Mine come clean in the dishwasher no matter how set-in the stains are.

If that doesn't work, then bleach certainly will.
To do a quick job.....fill a cup with liquid bleach......hold for 10 -20 seconds and then pour the same bleach into the next cup. Keep going till you've done all the cups. Then, soak your teaspoons, used for the tea, in the last cup for 35 seconds.

Make sure that you wash everything with dish soap, really, really well after this procedure.

Re: tea stains..

bleach works for us.

Re: tea stains..

We use a good scrubbing brush and some AJAX or some similiar product like VIM for example. Works like a charm.

Re: tea stains..

We used to do that too Ira.....but at some point we noticed scratches in our cups and mugs and attributed them to the abrasive ingredients in Ajax powder.

The scratches then started to let the stains set and it became harder and harder to clean them.

The liquid bleach eliminates this concern.
