TDot!

Woot!

A substitute for NYC (for movies anyways. Did you know Kal Ho Na Ho was partially filmed in TO? You can see the TTC buses in the background sometimes.), also known as Hollywood North, Toronto looks like a city where nothing much happens. But if you just live in there for a few years, you realized so much happens in the briefest of times. So it might not make CNN’s headlines, but for hard-core Torontonians, it makes the world of a difference.

I mean remember when they re-named Sky Dome to Roger’s Center? And a lot of people went…what the heck, eh? I mean how can you re-name something as epic as Sky Dome to something so…blah? And then old Roger died. I heard some people saying that they should re-re-name it to Sky Dome cuz he’s dead now. Alas, it’s not to happen.

Toronto is a bustling metropolis. In some circles, it’s known as GTA, or Greater Toronto Area. It has a history that spans before the arrival of the white people. Home to the Iroquious and then the Huron tribes, it saw a lot of populations come live on the shores of Lake Ontario. It’s municipalities, fires, immigration booms. It has an eclectic mix of tall skyscraprs, and quaint victorian style homes. The weather can be a doozy. Freezing winters, which include some snow storms, some freezing rain, or chilly winds. Beautiful springs, which brings rains, cherry blossoms and daffodils. Crisp summers, with it’s onset of green everywhere, with a few chances of you melting. Colorful autumns, with every color under the rainbow, all displayed for you to see on the trees. But the people of TDot take it all with a smile, and a few grumbles.

It’s the largest city in Canada, and the 5th largest in North America. It has people from all the parts of world. Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, the Islands. Which is awesome if you like international cuisine.

Toronto, I can go on and on about it. It’s a place which you can call home, but still go on a vacation, any time you want, right in the city. :cheegum:

Re: TDot!

Kismat Connection was also shot in Toronto.....it was to funny to see the TO downtown buildings.

Re: TDot!

i know! i loved it. i watched the movie just to see TO

Re: TDot!

Khumar you live in Brampton, you don’t qualify as a Torontonian! :snooty:

Real Torontonians - big up!

Re: TDot!

WERD!

thats less distance from 'the' city than the karachi-sakkhar flight

Toronto is Toronto.

Awesome city. Awesome people. A little too congested when compared to Sauga but the best place to have fun if you have the money.

Re: TDot!

The only thing I hate about Toronto (GTA), everything is too far apart. You have to travel a good half hour just to get groceries, imagine other outings..

which is why Montreal is the best place to be.

Been to Montreal. No offence but it is a jungle when compared to Toronto. A much better place for outdoor stuff though.

I dont know which part of Toronto did you stay. Normally I find everything within a 3 km radius distance.

Like I said earlier, if you have the money to spent then Tdot is the place you want to be !
