I have a really bad memory 
so my mom got me a “taweez” from pakistan. I wanted to know if it’s necessary to wear the taweez. Would it still be effective if I just kept it in my room or do I have to wear it?
Second question: What do you do with extra taweez. Say you had one from when you were sick or something like that and you didn’t need it anymore or you got one but you decided not to wear it. what can be done with that. If anyone has any knowledge regarding this please share. Thanks.

Can't answer the first part of your question, but with regards to old taweez, we have always been told to bury them or scatter them in water - like a lake/river/the sea.
