  1. We said: “O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the garden and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when)
ye will but approach not this tree or ye run into harm and transgression.”

  2. Then did Satan make them slip from the (garden) and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We
said: “Get ye down all (ye people) with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling place and your means
    of livelihood for a time.”

  3. Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration and his Lord turned toward him; for He is Oft-Returning Most
    Merciful.

When Moses came to the place appointed by Us and his Lord addressed him He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me
that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "by no means canst thou see Me (direct); but look upon the mount; if it abide in its
place then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested his glory on the mount He made it as dust and Moses fell down
in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to thee I turn in repentance and I am the first to
believe." (Allah) said: "O Moses! I have chosen thee above (other) men by the mission I (have given thee) and the words I
(have spoken to thee): take then the (revelation) which I give thee and be of those who give thanks."

Chapter no.2, Ayat no.54

And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf
so turn (in repentance) to your Maker and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your
Maker." Then He turned toward you (in forgiveness); for He is Oft-returning Most Merciful.

Chapter no.16, Ayat no.112

Allah sets forth a parable: a city enjoying security and quiet abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place: yet
was it ungrateful for the favors of Allah: so Allah made it taste of hunger and terror (in extremes) (closing in on it) like a
garment (from every side) because of the (evil) which (its people) wrought.

Chapter no.6, Ayat no.65

Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you from above and below or to cover you with confusion in party strife giving
you a taste of mutual vengeance each from the other." See how We explain the Signs by various (symbols) that they may
understand.

Chapter no.20, Ayat no.124-127

  1. "But whosoever turns away from My Message verily for him is a life narrowed down and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment."

  2. He will say: "O my Lord! why hast thou raised me up blind while I had sight (before)?"

  3. (Allah) will say: "Thus didst thou when Our Signs came unto thee disregard them: so wilt thou this day be
    disregarded."

  4. And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the
Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring.

Chapter no.49, Ayat no.11-12

  1. O ye who believe! let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (Indeed) doing wrong.
  2. O ye who believe! avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: and spy not on each other nor speak ill of each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay ye would abhor it...but fear Allah: for Allah is Oft-Returning Most Merciful
