If praising Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum) was a biddat why would Allah Himself praise Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum)???
Allah and His Angels send Darood on the Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum).
If praising Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum) then you praise your parents, your teachers, your kids. Wouldn’t that aslo be biddat???
You guys there are 2 parts to the word “biddat”. A “biddat” can be good biddat or bad biddat. A biddat is good if it doesn’t go against Quran and Sunnah. For example, in the time of Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) the Holy Quraan was not even printed. Sahaba ( Razi Allah Anhum) used to write verses of Quran on leaves. So now Quran is being printed on paper, that’s a bidat. but it’s a good biddat. otherwise how would any of us have read Quraan.
Similarly at the time of Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) there was no tv. So the Scholars who come on tv and teach us so many things are doing bidat. But would you consider this bidat bad??? No not at all. We are all benefiting from it. So it’s a good bidat.
SO NOT EVERY BIDAT IS BAD. as long as it doesn’t go against Quran and Sunnah and it’s beneficial it’s fine.
By they way, Sahaba (Razi Allah Anhum) used to praise Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) in front of Him. Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) never stopped them and told them you are doing bidat. Hassan Bin Sabit (Razi Allah Anho) used to recite Naat Sharif (Nasheed) and Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) actually had a podium placed in Masjid E Nabvi for Him to recite Nasheed.
So why shouldn’t we praise our Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum). Remember Love of Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) is the core of Eman, and reciting Nasheed is an expression of this love. Therefore, it’s not bad to recite Nasheed in anyway. Infact it;s a great ibadat.
